Tourist rest in China. Holidays in China - the best resorts. "No" in China

Language and Communication

In China, few speak English, except perhaps for employees of large hotels, tourist restaurants and sellers in shopping centers. And this is a real quest - to speak with the seller in the store, not knowing a word in Chinese. True, sometimes locals are able to tell you to go left or right. But this is rather the exception. Therefore, a telephone translator or international sign language often comes to the rescue.

Good afternoon hello 你好 Nihao
thanks 谢谢 Sese
Bye bye 再 见 Jaijien
excuse me 对不起 ! 不 Duibutsi
Give me check 买单 。 May tribute
I want to order this ... this ... and this 我要 这个 ... 这个 … 和 这 个 In yao jae ... jae ... he jae

I do not understand 我不明白。 Woo boo minbai

Features of the Chinese mentality

The Chinese seemed overly emotional to me. They loudly and vividly express their emotions, moreover, anywhere. Therefore, do not be surprised if the waiter throughout the hall shouts something to the visitor, and the two friends talk, while being at different ends of the subway car.

The Chinese express their emotions loudly, vividly and emotionally. Do not be alarmed if it seems to you that two men who are arguing heatedly with each other will now fight. They just talk.

Sometimes the behavior of the Chinese can shock. Some of their actions are perceived as a manifestation of bad manners, lack of culture. For example, most are not shy about blowing their nose or spitting in crowded places. But this, by the way, has its own explanation. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the body is healthy when the vital energy of qi flows freely. And for this, all channels must be clean, including the airways.

For a couple of weeks, I was almost used to round-the-clock attention literally everywhere. The Chinese are not yet accustomed to foreigners in their land. They gaze closely at those who look different from what they are. They can easily ask to be photographed together. The Chinese do not hide their interest. But usually there is no negative attitude towards tourists.

Shopping in China

China is a country from which it is impossible to return empty-handed. Large markets are available in most tourist cities. Some call it “fake markets,” because it is where famous Chinese fakes are sold. The Chinese copy things so skillfully that they cannot be distinguished from the original. At the same time, the prices are just ridiculous. For example, I bought a pair of Converse sneakers for 400 rubles. And not a single person has yet told me that I am wearing a fake. In Beijing and Shanghai it is interesting to walk around monobrand boutiques. These brands are not represented in Russia. However, things are interesting and often of good quality. The only question is if the right size is available. The legs of Chinese women are usually 34-36 sizes, respectively, and the assortment is most often the same.

One of the most popular souvenirs in China is tea. It can be purchased both in the market and in the store. In the latter case, you are guaranteed a beautiful package, but an inflated price.

Kitchen. Where and what to eat in China?

Appetizing smells of street food are literally everywhere. And still not at all appetizing aromas of fried tofu. The Chinese eat almost everything that can digest the human stomach. At the same time, they seem to combine completely inappropriate tastes and ingredients. Therefore, their meat is often sweet, soups are empty and fresh, and desserts are prepared on the basis of rice and beans. As I understand it, it is not customary in China to order one dish. Usually a company takes a lot of small dishes - salads, baozi, dim sums - and eat it all together.

Bao Tzu.  Outwardly they resemble dumplings, but the dough is light and airy, like in pies. Most often, pork is the filling. Often cooks combine meat with fish and seafood. Most of all I liked the option with pork filling and crab chips on top.

Chinese cakes.  In almost all cities, even in megacities, if you turn off the tourist routes, you can find a tent with such cakes. Usually they are sold by the baker himself, and he has been engaged in this business all his life. The filling of the cakes can be anything - with meat, onions, herbs, cabbage.

Peking duck.  This is probably the most popular Chinese dish. It is prepared in many restaurants in the world, but the original can only be tasted in China. Baked bird has a beautiful reddish crust, and its meat is tender, juicy and melts in the mouth.

Seafood. Scallops, mussels and other goodies are prepared using large quantities of garlic, chili and oil. Yes, it's oily, but aromatic and incredibly tasty.

Hogo.  In general, Hogo is a double-bottom cookware with a built-in oven for heating. Now so are the dishes themselves that are cooked in it. For Hogo, it is necessary to have a broth, most often acute. Other ingredients to choose from: chicken, pork, seafood, noodles, mushrooms, tofu and more.

Holidays and events

The most famous and most large-scale holiday of the Celestial Empire is the Chinese New Year. There is no fixed date; it is determined by the lunar calendar from January 21 to February 21. These days, the Chinese launch fireworks, decorate everything around with lanterns, garlands and ribbons. On the streets, performances are held with the dancing of dragons and lions. The sight, of course, is interesting, but tourists should not go to China these days. The Chinese do not work all 7 holidays. Shops, markets, cafes and restaurants are closed. Locals travel around the country, so the flea market at airports and train stations is guaranteed.

An alternative to the Chinese New Year is the Dragon Boat Festival. It is also determined by the lunar calendar and is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month. This day is considered the beginning of summer, so the holiday is sometimes called the Lunar New Year. All rivers and ponds have boat races. Symbolically, the Chinese, as it were, "enter" by water in the summer. Sweet and salted rice wrapped in bamboo leaves is sold in all stores. It is washed down with special wine with the addition of the poisonous mineral realgar. You need to drink just a little bit to protect yourself from pathogenic bacteria.

Calendar New Year in China is celebrated only 1 day - January 1. Also, weekends in China fall on Tree Planting Day on March 12, Qingming or the festival of the departed - April 4 or 5, and also from October 1 to 5, when China's Education Day is celebrated.

Security

In China, as in any other country, you can be deceived and even robbed. But this can be avoided.

  1. Do not buy anything from street vendors. Most often they come up on their own and say a standard set of words: watches, bags ... They need to be ignored, if only because even such fake things in specialized markets are 2-3 times cheaper.
  2. If you hear that the locals, looking at you, utter a word that sounds like “cry,” leave immediately. This is what foreigners are called, and in this case this word is negative. Laovai is one who can be deceived, on whom you can earn money.
  3. If you meet the Chinese on the street, and they call you to a tea ceremony, do not agree. This is a divorce. The ceremony will be held for you, but the price that will be presented at the end will be sky-high. In this case, the quality of tea will be the lowest.
  4. If you decide to buy something on the street, but you don’t have any small money, and the seller has change, a person may come up to you who will offer to go exchange bills. Do not agree. Otherwise, you will no longer see money.
  5. In any incomprehensible or controversial situations, refer to the police. This is a magic word that works flawlessly for those who are trying to cash in on tourists.

3 tips that will definitely come in handy when traveling around this country

Get UnionPay card.  The Chinese highly respect their own developments and achievements, therefore, in principle, do not use Visa and MasterCard cards. In order not to take only cash with you, get a UnionPay card in advance.

Take a first aid kit with you.  No, this is not due to the fact that the Chinese are treated exclusively with fire and herbs. Familiar drug stores are everywhere. But without knowledge of the Chinese language, you can hardly manage to explain to the pharmacist what exactly is needed.

Trade in the markets.  Chinese sellers in markets without a twinge of conscience inflate prices several times. It is worth responding to arrogance in the same way: do not be afraid to bargain, do not be shy to go to another seller. Most likely, you will be returned by the hand and sold the goods at the price that you want.

It is incredibly difficult to explain in words what kind of phenomenon China is. It seemed to me that I could endlessly be surprised at the lace and diversity of the manifestation of a different culture. And suddenly she began to get tired of the big cities, the endless, noisy, scurrying Chinese back and forth. True, they were very, very many, especially in recent days. But China is a different universe. Another world that can easily captivate so that it leaves a piece of your heart.

China is located in the East and has the world's largest population - about 1.4 billion in an area of \u200b\u200b9.6 million square meters. km (3rd place in the world). An interesting story about attractions, carousels and emotions during and after visiting the Hong Kong fairytale town "Disneyland":

What time of year is it better to go to China?

The territory of China is large, so the climatic conditions on it are diverse. This is a sharply continental arid (desert) climate in the north-east of the country, temperate in its central part (most of the territory) and subtropical in the southeast.

The weather in various Chinese provinces is strikingly different. In the northernmost province of Heilongjiang (temperate climate), the average temperature in July is 20 degrees, and in winter 0 degrees, but in January it can even reach -30 degrees. At the same time, in the southern regions of Guangdong province in July the average temperature is 28 degrees, and in January 10 degrees.

There are also significant differences in precipitation in China. The most rainy are the southern regions of the country, where the maximum rainfall occurs in the summer seasons. To the northwestern part of China, the amount of precipitation decreases, the driest areas are the Gobi, Takla Makan, Ordos deserts.

In the southern and eastern regions of the country, natural disasters are annually observed - devastating typhoons, floods, tsunamis, droughts. The northern part of China in spring suffers from yellow dust storms that bring winds from the northern deserts.

When going to China, it is necessary to take into account the climatic features of a particular region. When traveling across the country, you will need clothes and shoes for different weather.

When choosing a time to travel to China, you must also consider the following points:

  • winter makes it possible to visit ski resorts and ride along the mountain slopes;
  • in the northern and northeastern regions of the country, winter in November-April, due to severe cold, visiting these places is better to exclude;
  • spring is good for exploring the country, especially on the islands and the coast;
  • summer is characterized by heat and the rainy season, it is better to spend time on the islands, the coast, visit Beijing;
  • in July, due to the intense heat, preference should be given to the northern regions;
  • it gets cooler in the autumn, so it’s good to relax on the coast, go to the northern regions with warm clothes, autumn is a great time for excursions in any part of the country.

China is one of the most popular countries in tourism. Here you can find relaxation for every taste: sandy beaches, historical and cultural attractions, entertainment at various levels, shopping. Tourists are also interested in the life and culture of the country's inhabitants.

Holidays in China is a great opportunity to see with your own eyes a state where ancient civilization and modern megalopolises coexist in perfect harmony. Rice fields, like many years ago, surround huge cities, whose streets are built up with skyscrapers and are full of modern cars. And the Chinese, as before, light candles of good luck, while discussing the nuances of their business by mobile phone.

The best time to relax in China

The main part of the country has a continental monsoon climate, although the southern regions are in the subtropical and tropical zones. Holidays in China are so diverse that you can come here year-round, here you will never be idle. Spring and autumn are considered the most convenient for excursions, and the popular sea resorts are waiting for everyone in winter or summer. Therefore, the cost of the voucher will depend most of all on the time of the year and on the point where you want to go when planning a trip to China (holidays, prices for which are from 35,000 rubles per week, can not be called cheap). If we take into account the size of the country, its climatic and geographical features, then tourists have a lot of opportunities.

Beach tours will provide a unique and fabulous vacation in China on the Pacific coast. At the same time, Hainan Island deserves utmost attention, because it is in this place that a unique tropical climate. Beaches of Dadonghai Bay

Young, active people who choose an active holiday in China at sea, discos, parties, and eventful nightlife will really like this place. Sanya resort is located in the tropics, due to which it is warm all year round, with an average annual temperature of 26 ° C. There is no winter familiar to us, while the temperature in summer does not rise above 33 ° C. So, when planning a vacation in China in November, December, etc., you can stop your choice at this resort. At the same time, even in the warmest period, the breeze from the sea with it brings coolness and freshness.

In terms of air quality, the resort is in first place in China, and according to the UN, it takes second place in the world.
