These horror stories are rotaviruses, disgusting beach, dirty sea, inconvenient location of this hotel and rudeness of apartment owners.

Everything in order.
Accommodation
I was afraid that they would settle far from the beach — this did not happen. As I understand it, hotel guests are accommodated only on the first line. We were close at hand to the beach, to the store and to any point in the infrastructure of the hotel complex. Perhaps the next time I would even want to live away from the main entrance, because in the evening the music in the restaurant by the central pool was a little disturbing. And so a walk around Santa Marina is one sheer pleasure in any weather! Gorgeous flowers, trees from all over the world, indeed, Santa Marina is a real botanical garden on the Black Sea. The structure of the complex is such that even if it rains, there are no puddles at all, since the water leaves as quickly as possible.
In principle, if there is not even a very large amount of money, you can live in Santa Marina without leaving the territory for several weeks. The complex is well equipped with infrastructure - in the shops you can buy food and household items the same as in Sozopol. Everything is more expensive by no more than 10%. The difference in the price of our daily purchases was equivalent to the cost of a taxi ride to Sozopol and back, so we opted for purchases in Santa Marina. By the way, I recommend a shop with Bulgarian cosmetics on pink water. Prices for products are the same as in Stari Grad, but I have not seen such charming sellers in the center of Sozopol.
Santa Marina has both beauty salons and spa services. They did not cause me much enthusiasm, but the prices for these services do not differ from those in St. Petersburg.
Fortunately, none of us got any rotavirus or other diseases. The whole family bathed in pools, ate in restaurants. Fortunately, they did not use the services of a local doctor.
Beach.
For a child of 2-5 years old, it is ideal. No waves, no jellyfish, smooth entry and clear water. Near grass and a playground. For adults and older children, a stone's throw from the Golden Fish Beach. It is noisy and fun. Once every half an hour the express goes to the ravaged Kavatsi beach, we never got there.
For children.
Santa Marina has great playgrounds, especially just outside the complex and on the second beach. I would even like to call them developing. In rainy weather, the child was taken to the nursery.
Sozopol has very inexpensive toys. They brought a whole bag of aircraft and cars.
In the room.
The bed is comfortable, everything you need is in the room. Dishes are really a small choice, but in order to boil pasta and cook porridge, that's enough. It was a pleasant bonus for us that having booked a room with a garden view, we got a view of the beautiful garden and the sea! It is also nice that a crib in our room was provided for free, and not for 10 euros per day.
Bed sheets and towels were changed on time. The maids are friendly, but cleaned in different ways. Sometimes even our shoes were arranged in color, and sometimes after cleaning, she cleaned herself, but I do not want to pay attention to such trifles.
By the way, the first night in a new place the neighbors from the first floor were very noisy. For technical reasons, I could not call the guard, but this did not happen again.
Restaurants
If something in Santa Marina is imperfect, these are, alas, restaurants. Great views, live music, a magnificent interior spoils the staff. There are not enough waiters, the menu is almost the same everywhere, the kitchen has been preparing for a very long time. It was a shame for the spoiled birthday of her husband, who decided to celebrate in a central restaurant.
At restaurants there is a nanny for children, but alas, usually a girl sits and watches TV in the corner. I did not even immediately realize that this is a nanny.
In Sozopol, restaurants are more interesting and democratic, they are fighting for every client. In Santa Marina, unfortunately, the staff is spoiled.
Neighborhood.
Sozopol, in my opinion, is a small and boring town. Hello Koktebel early nineties. The Bulgarian mentality is a separate issue, not as part of the review of the hotel. "Stari Grad" is not bad if it were not for the persistent smells from garbage cans on every corner. Everyone praised the local market. Alas, the market is a tent for fruit and a hangar with wine. Sozopol has a good wide central beach, an excellent playground in the central square and beautiful restaurants with affordable prices and smiling staff.
Summary. Of course, I want to return to Santa Marina. But to Bulgaria, yet

The beach at the hotel is small (there is one more, a little further away, with the usual set of marine entertainment). Between the hotel and the beach there is a highway that can be crossed via an overpass. Loungers cost a lot - about 3 euros, and therefore almost 3/4 are empty. The bottom is sand, on that beach, which has a hotel, there are sharp stones. After the slightest storm brings a bunch of seaweed. They are removed, but without fanaticism - within 2-3 days. So, in addition to free fitness, get ready for free thalassotherapy :)
Entertainment at the hotel is not enough - three pools and a spa. I did not find the promised bikes. What prevents them from building several water slides (despite the fact that the number of children is amazing), I do not understand. There is animation, but rather modest - aqua aerobics and a few children's contests. Children's room is paid. On the outskirts of the complex there is a Kolokolandiya playground where children can overcome a very fascinating obstacle course.
The food is so-so strong. Moreover, IMHO is a property of Bulgaria in general. Expensive and tasteless. Although, maybe I was just out of luck. A hotel breakfast is probably worth the money, but it would be better if it were more expensive and better. There are almost no fruits (only apples and oranges), there are no dried fruits at all, there are no bell peppers among vegetables (sic!). Trivia is also annoying: the oil does not cool, there is no lemonade, the juice is diluted every fourth day, ketchup is absent as a class. The only thing that pleased me was my favorite Twinings tea. The waiters are friendly, they clean the dishes quickly.
Unfortunately, Bulgaria is much closer to the scoop than Lithuania itself. Some roads are worth it (even on the only motorway in the country there is no lighting).
In general, everything in the hotel is imbued with the spirit of sloppiness and insanity. The phone number on the hotel website is incorrect. It’s not worth renting a car through the hotel - they threw me for the second time, although I ordered a car in three days and reminded me the day before. As a result, I was late for the meeting :(
Wired Internet (they wanted to spend the extra 60 bucks on a house on a router), they give a short wire, an outlet in an extremely inconvenient place, so drag a long twisted pair cable, or even better a wifi router :)
There is laundry, but first they need to be persuaded to take the laundry by weight, and not by the list (such a service is usually provided only to apartment owners), and then run away to pay for half a kilometer. Not to put cars where you can throw coins ...
The rooms (or rather apartments) are large, the kitchens are well equipped, and there are dishes. In our apartment there was a tile, not a carpet, so without slippers it was uncomfortable.
Mostly Russian families live / relax in Santa Marina, for the most part quite adequate.
Tours. You can take a trip to Sozopol by train (5 minutes, 2 leva, breathing gasoline on the highway) or by taxi (7 leva). I highly recommend a trip to Veliko Tarnovo. We took a car and drove ourselves, but 250 kilometers one way through the mountains is hard. Another excursion to Ropotamo is a walk along the river (herons and turtles) and in jeeps on hunting facilities (wild boars, roe deer). Nobody guarantees animals, but we were lucky - we saw herons, turtles, and wild boars. We also went to Nessebar - pretty. And the water park is not bad - there are several original slides.
In general, I do not consider the vacation a failure, but I probably will not repeat the experience.

The resort town is surrounded by mixed forests, turning this place into a cozy oasis, protected from the whole world with its problems.

The territory of the complex has a well-developed infrastructure. There are children's entertainment centers, bars, restaurants, swimming pools and many other amenities that make tourists a real holiday.

Complex structure

The whole village consists of four-story cottages with different apartments, many of which have wonderful sea views. The resort is surrounded by greenery. The architecture of the buildings is made in the style of the Bulgarian Renaissance of the nineteenth century. The town was built in such a way that seventy percent of its territory remained under green spaces and park alleys. The best place for a relaxing holiday is simply not to be found.

A bit about the hotel

Santa Marina Holiday Village is located two kilometers from Sozoplya. It has direct access to motorways. The complex was founded in 2006, and since then it has hosted lovers of sea resorts. In 2013, the hotel was completely renovated. Currently, it is a completely modern complex with all the necessary infrastructure.

It consists of eighty villas and cottages (two- and three-story), which are built along the Black Sea coast. Externally, the resort resembles an ordinary Bulgarian village on the shores of Sozopol Bay.

Santa Marina Holiday Village is a town living its own resort life. On its territory, you can rent not only apartments with several rooms, but also entire attics. The interiors of all apartments fit perfectly into the overall atmosphere of this resort: the walls are painted in sand tones, natural wooden furniture in the inimitable country style, highlighted by unobtrusive, but original accessories.

The layout of the apartments makes them very convenient for everyday relaxation. They have kitchen units, washing machines, ironing facilities, and, of course, the Internet.

Number of rooms

As we already mentioned, Santa Marina Holiday Village is a large complex, and therefore the number of rooms is very diverse. It is not possible to describe all the possible options within the framework of the article. Therefore, we give a description of only some of the most popular apartments in order to give an overview of this wonderful place:

The studio is about forty square meters and can accommodate two guests. It consists of sleeping and living areas, and also has a kitchenette. This type of apartment does not have an extra bed.
The rooms with a bedroom and a living room have a large area (65 square meters). These apartments can comfortably accommodate two people.
The rooms with two bedrooms and one living room are designed for a family of four. Such apartments have an area of \u200b\u200babout eighty square meters.

The hotel is very diverse, everyone can choose the right option for themselves. All apartments of the complex are very spacious and well equipped, which creates a wonderful atmosphere for a carefree holiday.

Santa Marina Holiday Village is not an ordinary hotel, but rather a whole village with its well-functioning infrastructure. The complex has five pools, three of which are adults, and two are children's. The ponds are cascaded and decorated with a variety of lights and all kinds of bridges.

The hotel has been hosting guests since 2006, during which time a playground, volleyball, basketball, football, table tennis and tennis courts appeared on its territory. Animators every day offer tourists water aerobics classes. For active vacationers, the hotel even has extreme attractions. Initially, a SPA center was opened in the complex; over the many years of its work, the range of services has gradually expanded.

To overcome a large territory of the hotel on foot, not everyone can do it, and therefore electric cars are launched for tourists on it. It is very convenient, especially for young children and people of age. And the stairs leading to the sea were supplemented with an elevator, which makes the descent much faster and shorter.

The hotel is interesting in that it has a huge green area. Around everything is buried in trees and shrubs, many flower beds. Everything is very clean and tidy. It's nice to just walk along the alleys. It is worth noting that this vast territory has natural elevations, which is associated with the local landscape. Perhaps someone will not like it.

"Santa Marina" is a hotel with parking, although this moment is probably not so important for our compatriots.

Bars and Restaurants

On the territory of Santa Marina Holiday Village 4 * there is a cafe "Sky", "Breeze", a bar "Joy" and a pizzeria. At these establishments, guests can grab a bite to eat and enjoy fine cocktails.

In the “Gallery”, the cook will prepare the dish you ordered right in front of you. The main restaurant of the resort is Apollonia. Every day this institution feeds tourists with delicious and satisfying breakfasts, dinners and lunches. However, those vacationers who do not want or cannot eat in public places can buy groceries in the supermarket on the territory of the complex and cook on their own, since all rooms are equipped with their own kitchenettes. This is especially convenient for those families who come with small children.

Beach

Santa Marina Holiday Village (Sozopol) has its own small sandy beach with paid umbrellas and sunbeds. The entrance to the water along the coast is gentle and comfortable, quite suitable for children. The water is clean, but far from always calm, still it is the Black Sea. Santa Marina Holiday Village has many sports facilities. The hotel’s animators do an excellent job of organizing children's activities. Young tourists are very satisfied. In addition, the complex has a playground, more precisely, several of them. In general, kids will always find activities.

But as for adult animation, then, according to tourists, it is not enough. However, it is not necessary to be bored in Santa Marina Holiday Village 4 * (Sozopol). In the evenings, the resort is transformed beyond recognition, clothed in the lights of bright lanterns. In addition, the complex is located near Sozopol. The city can be reached on foot in twenty minutes, or you can take a ride on transport. The whole road stretches along the sea, you can admire the beautiful scenery. And in Sozopol, tourists are waiting for numerous bars, restaurants, cafes and lots of entertainment.

Local Attractions

Spending a vacation at the hotel, it is impossible not to visit Sozopol. This wonderful old town is filled with beautiful places in which you can take unique pictures for memory. It was founded in the sixth century BC by the brave Greek colonists on the rocky coast of the peninsula. In ancient times, the city was called Apollonia.

Currently, this place has become a favorite among Bulgarian bohemians. Numerous musicians, artists, artists are attracted here by the very special atmosphere of the town. There really is something to see: beautiful old churches, white houses under red tiles, narrow cobblestone streets, stone lanes ... All this is buried in the greenery of figs and vineyards. And the unique sandy beaches and the beautiful harbor are the pride of Sozopol.

Tourists are very pleased with the spacious and beautiful rooms of the hotel complex. A special delight is the presence of the kitchen. This is very convenient, because you can always cook something for a child, and even for adults. The hotel has several shops, so there are no problems with the products. At any time you can buy semi-finished products, a couple of minutes - and the dish is ready. Many vacationers buy a tour to the hotel only with breakfast, and for lunch and dinner they eat in a cafe or cook on their own. This option is most convenient, because often you do not want to leave the beach and it is easier to have a snack there. Or, going for a walk in Sozopol, you don’t have to rush to dinner. In this regard, the complex is well thought out.

Of great interest is the hotel territory itself. She is really awesome. It takes two to three days to get around it and study. There is something to see here. Santa Marina is somewhat similar to a botanical garden. On its territory there are many plants from all over the world that get along well here. There are a lot of beautiful flowers around.

The complex is so arranged that rains are not terrible. Water descends very quickly, even puddles do not remain. The infrastructure is thought out to the smallest detail, you can live there for a couple of weeks without even leaving and not even think about anything.

You can go to Sozopol on foot, or you can ride on a steam train that runs every half hour for two leva. He makes the last flight at ten in the evening. After this, you can only get by taxi (ten leva). Sozopol is a wonderful city, which is worth a walk and sit in the atmosphere of local cafes.

Children's resort

The hotel is a good place to relax with children. Here, the coast itself is as if created for kids. In addition, there are many playgrounds on the territory itself. Not to mention that it is closed and guarded. Entertainment activities are organized for children. In general, animators work well. Kids really like the local beach. They rush along the shore with butterfly net and catch the local marine life. This process causes them special delight.

Service: reviews

Maids clean rooms every day. Towels are also changed daily. The staff is friendly. The quality of the cleaning is sometimes lame. Cots are provided free of charge.

As for the service in the hotel restaurants, not all guests are satisfied. The staff is slow and of poor quality.

If you do not want to eat in a cafe, you can cook it yourself. Fruits, vegetables and meat here in stores are much cheaper than in Turkey. A lot of seafood is also sold: flounder, eels, stingrays, mussels, shrimps.

The hotel organizes trips to local attractions. You should definitely visit the old castle. In principle, all interesting and beautiful places can easily be reached independently if you do not want group “races”.

Summing up all of the above, I want to note that Santa Marina is a wonderful holiday complex. It can be safely recommended to tourists planning a vacation in Bulgaria. A large beautiful area, spacious rooms, good infrastructure and beautiful landscapes - all this is the key to a good vacation on the sea coast.
