Usually in Tokyo, sakura blossoms after about March 25th, and the peak of flowering occurs in the last days of the month and early April. So that the first and second race will definitely see the sakura in all its glory.

If the three of us ride, how much will a trip ticket for triple accommodation cost? Or will we have 2 double rooms?

In Japan, there are rarely triple rooms and the third bed is usually designed for a teenager. Therefore, for this tour triple rooms are not provided. You can consider the option of sharing or searching for a fellow traveler in order to move into a double room. Number for one will cost a little more + $ 450.

Do we have to buy a / tickets ourselves as soon as we reserve? Which lines are better to fly and more convenient in time? Maybe you have the right website where it’s cheaper to buy?

Our tourists are people from different countries and cities, so everyone buys tickets on their own. On the first round you need to fly on March 24th, and on the second - on March 31st. But since flight prices may be lower on other days, you can fly earlier or later fly away, in any case, a transfer from the airport to the hotel and back will be provided. We will also help with booking the hotel on the days before and after the tour. On extra days, the hotel will probably not be the one indicated in the program, as we make reservations for the tour in advance - half a year before arrival. Tickets can be issued on the website

How much is insurance for 9 or 10 days, and where to buy it? I have insurance for a year - the territory of insurance is the whole world! Can I provide her?

For travel to Japan, medical insurance is optional, but we advise you to purchase it. You can look at all the detailed information on the website. And if you have ready-made insurance all over the world, it means that it is suitable for Japan, but it is better to check this issue with the insurance company itself.

Bank payment fee - what is it? How much per person? and who should pay it? And where?

A bank fee is a commission charged by a bank for international payments, so it varies depending on the amount of the transfer and the bank that makes the transfer. Usually this is up to $ 50 for one bank transfer, therefore it is more profitable to transfer the entire amount for several people in one payment, rather than separately.

According to the program, days 5 and 8 by train, will we move along with our suitcases ourselves, or leave them somewhere?

On the fifth day, you make an excursion from Osaka to about. Miyajima and return back to Osaka, so there is no need to take luggage with you. Day 8: You make an excursion from Osaka to Himeji, and then - transfer to Tokyo via Osaka, where you will pick up your luggage from the hotel. We recommend that you send your luggage from Osaka directly to the hotel in Tokyo by courier (for an additional fee ≈15 $ for a suitcase). Delivery will not take more than one day, but it will be much more convenient.

The tour includes payment for all excursions, entrance fees, hotel accommodation with breakfast, transfers according to the tour program and lunch during the excursions. Therefore, in fact, there are spending on personal expenses - water, Japanese sweets, souvenirs and dinner. Economically enough $ 20 a day, but we would recommend taking from $ 50 a day per person. You don’t need to take additional excursions - even on the only free day from excursions in Tokyo we provide an escort for shopping and walks in Odaiba.

  • Will you make a visa for us, and can I buy a ticket without a visa?

The central building of the Kabuki National Theater, which pleases the eye with the perfectly correct lines of Japanese architectural style.
The square of the Imperial Palace, where more than 2,000 Japanese "matzo" pines grow, considered in Japan a symbol of longevity. The arched stone Double Bridge Nijubashi, which led into the inner chambers of the imperial palace. Ieyasu, the first of the Tokugawa shoguns, began to build his castle here in 1590. During the Edo period, his descendants turned the castle into the largest in the world. The public is allowed here twice a year: on the emperor’s birthday and on the New Year’s holiday.

Admiring sakura in Tokyo's famous parks. This spring ritual, obligatory for all Japanese, is called the "khans" - admiring the flowers.
Hamarikyu Samurai Park, where modern Tokyo architecture and traditional landscape design are fancifully intertwined. Initially, these were the hunting grounds of the Tokugawa shogun, and in memory of these times, demonstrative hunting performances and exhibitions of hawks and falcons are held in the park today. Later, the park became the resting place of the Imperial family, and in 1945 it was donated to the Government of Japan. Since then, the park has been declared a Cultural Heritage of Japan. A special place in the park is occupied by the black pine “kuroomatsu”, planted back in 1709. It is the largest pine tree in Tokyo.
Ueno Park is considered by many to be the best place to enjoy sakura in Tokyo. In 1873, Emperor Meiji ordered a European park to be laid out over a vast territory on a hill. Along the three main alleys, trees and bushes brought from all over the country were planted, which turned Ueno into a kind of botanical garden. Especially many different varieties of sakura were planted. And since then, every spring, Ueno has become a pilgrimage place for tens of thousands of residents and guests of the capital who want to enjoy the blossoming Japanese cherry.
The historical quarter of Asakusa, rich in souvenir pavilions, preserves the aroma of pre-war Tokyo. From this station, located at an altitude of 2305 m, in summer they make hiking ascents to the peak of Fuji, which soars at an altitude of 3776 m above sea level. In 2013, the volcano Fuji, which the Japanese since ancient times call the boundary between earth and sky, received a new birth - it was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
30 km long Subaru Line winding mountain road leads to the 5th station, from which travelers observe an exotic landscape: frozen flows and lava lakes, gravel placers and black blocks of basalt.
From the bus window we will observe the mysterious Ghost Forest. Among his twisted trunks of trees, in a swirling gray fog, in dead silence are hidden, as they say, the souls of those who took their lives with Fuji. In this forest of Aoki-ha-Hara, the famous novel "Black Sea of Trees" by Matsumoto Seichio takes place. The Ghost Forest is considered one of the scariest places on Earth, and thrill seekers from around the world are eager to get here.
In case of adverse weather or road conditions, instead of the 5th station, we will visit the Fuji Museum.
The ensemble of ancient and samurai houses "Mink" at the foot of Fuji, where you can get acquainted with the life of the inhabitants of medieval Japan. Samurai armor and swords, silk cocoons, tatami rice mats, various handicrafts and even ancient children's toys, some of which are very reminiscent of Russian nesting dolls, are represented here. Here you can taste the dishes of ancient cuisine and take pictures for memory in an exotic setting. The 18 houses with rice straw roofs represent a fantastic landscape of ancient Japan against the backdrop of Fuji. Having dressed in a samurai outfit or a female kimono, we will become an organic part of this landscape and imprint ourselves in memory in such an extremely exotic form. After visiting the ancient capital of Japan with its preserved identity, you will go to modern Yokohama, where you will get acquainted with the beauty of Japanese nature in the Sankei-en Garden, which was created in 1906 by the rich silk merchant Sankei Hara. The garden is a monument of Japanese culture. In this landscape park, over a vast area of 180,000 square meters, in addition to the magnificent plants, 16 architectural structures are located, which were brought from different parts of Japan. This is, in particular, the three-story pagoda built in the 16th century, brought from Kyoto, the Rinsunkaku villa, built in 1649 and the Choshukaku tea house. A typical medieval peasant house transported from Gifu Prefecture acquaints with the life of ordinary people. Everyone can take part in a traditional Japanese tea party.
Independent transfer to the hotel in Narita by the shuttle bus Narita Limousine Bus (included in the program), check-in, relaxation.

Tours to Japan are quite expensive, especially compared to other countries. But Japan is so mysterious, diverse and unusual country that the prices of tours almost do not excite many tourists. But still provides a relatively inexpensive option for traveling to Japan - last-minute tours.

The price of such tours is much lower than the standard, and you can save on travel. Intertour Company offers the best-priced options for tours in Japan. These are fascinating tours with excursions in Tokyo, visiting the ancient cities of Kyoto, Kamakura, Nara, walks in national parks and reserves, climbing the sacred mountain of Fuji.

Summer in Japan is wet and hot, from June to mid-July the rainy season lasts. But in the summer you can plan a tour to Hokkaido, which rains pass by. The most favorable time of the year for a tour of Japan is spring and autumn.

Having booked a last-minute tour in spring, you can admire sakura blossoms, and in the fall - with the crimson leaves of Japanese maples. Even in winter, Japan has dry weather without severe frosts, only in Hokkaido ski resorts the temperature drops below zero, snow falls. Whenever you decide to go on a tour to Japan, you can be sure that you will find a lot of bright and unforgettable experiences!

This country is developing rapidly and changing. The Japanese are changing. And the most decisive changes are not external, but internal. The main features of the Japanese character - accuracy, modesty, patience - seem to gradually disappear. It is said that the consequences of this are difficult to predict now.

This can be seen only by going there, thanks to cheap trips to Japan. In fact, you will not be bothered by the question of how much a ticket to Japan costs, because there it is so beautiful that the price will not disturb, and the walks will be exciting and interesting. The Japanese - this is noticeable almost from the first meeting with them - for the most part are not religious.

They are happy to get married in the Christian church (no matter which - Catholic or Orthodox, if only it was beautiful). Although on New Year's Day they drop in their Shinto shrine to buy an amulet. Buddhist monks who have departed to another world of the Land of the Rising Sun are funeraling.

Throughout history, Japan has not known religious wars and religious intolerance. Even the persecution of Christianity at the beginning of the 17th century was purely political in color, since the Jesuit Fathers here are quite right as the agents of the Western colonial powers advancing in the Far East.

The truly sincerely Japanese always believed in earthly, but no less essential values from this - frugality, accuracy, modesty, the ability to endure, keep quiet and believe in the future, respect parents, superiors and others, strictly perform their duties in small and large.

If it is said to stand at the crossroads with a “red light”, one must stand. If it is ordered in the instructions to tighten the nut by five and a half turns - they will do just that, and not otherwise. If you study the Japanese more closely, you can find out how talented they are. After all, they were the first to invent such a system for building buildings, with the expectation of maintaining coolness in the summer and protecting buildings from earthquakes.

A transport it works as a debugged mechanism - it is always comfortable and safe. To learn even more about the culture and life of local residents, do not hesitate to fly there, especially since now tours to Japan from tour operators offer last-minute trips to Japan and inexpensive tours to Japan. In the capital of the Country of the rising sun - Tokyo - every tenth Japanese lives.

  • So, people who make the Japan-Bali tour and the Korea-Japan tour, and not only, can easily find their compatriots here, for whom a trip to Japan, the cost of it, they are not interested in, since in the past they found here for myself a home and stayed in this country forever.
  • The image of Tokyo embodies the most characteristic features of the portrait of this country. When we talk about the national identity of the Japanese, we do not always realize that many features of their way of life and behavior are generated by crowding. It is she who makes people live as if “holding her elbows”, which is the essence of Japanese ethics. On the territory of a little more than Finland, more than 120 million people live - just a little less than in Russia.
  • In addition, most of Japan is occupied by mountains. The face of the Japanese capital is not streets and buildings. These are people. The city is simply amazing with their giant cluster. The soul of Tokyo is the element of the crowd, embodied in endless human and traffic streams and in equally disordered masses of houses. But all this is suddenly forgotten when the spring season begins and sakura blossoms. There are no places in Tokyo that personify the Japanese capital, like the Kremlin to Moscow and Big Ben to London.
  • Even the geographical center of Tokyo - the Imperial Palace - does not dominate the city and is perceived from the side as a park surrounded by a moat. By the way, Tokyo was originally called Edo and gained its present name only a little more than 130 years ago. In 1868, Emperor Meiji removed the shoguns, the military leaders who traditionally ruled the country from power, and moved here from the ancient capital, Kyoto.
  • Meiji memorial complex with a park and the largest Shinton temple in the capital is worth a visit, as well as visiting Asakusa, where the most interesting Buddhist temple is located, around which the city's favorite fair has long been located.

It is better to visit it in the spring, because at this time, Japanese cherry blossoms, known throughout the world. When sakura blossom begins, tours to Japan invite travelers on excursions, and the beginning of summer will be pleased with huge rice fields, but rainy weather accompanied by typhoons that come from the Pacific Ocean can also upset. Since summer is the beach season, the inhabitants of this country devote themselves to rest on the shores of Okinawa.

Take the opportunity and a trip to Japan, the price of which will bother you a little, will be yours. You can come here at any time of the year, it is beautiful in its own way in the winter, and in the spring or in the summer, and in the fall, when the red leaves of the maple fall. And in winter, many tourists are attracted by ski tours to Japan and the snow festival, which is held annually in Sapporo.

Well, New Year's tours to Japan will decorate your arrival and make your stay in the country festive. Another noteworthy place is the Nihonbashi Bridge, from which the ancient Tokaido tract once began. Traveling along it to Kyoto - on horseback or on a palanquin - used to take almost a month. Now you can get here by express - in just two hours.

Opened in 1882, Ueno Zoological Gardens is Japan's oldest zoo. Here, on an area of 14 hectares, animals from all over the planet live in comfortable conditions, as close as possible to their real habitat. Over its long history, Ueno Zoo has become home to more than three thousand animals of 400 species. In addition to the opportunity to spend time outdoors and chat with animals, guests of the park are offered a variety of training and entertainment programs.

Tokyo is not rich in architectural ensembles. However, this does not mean that there are no beautiful places. It is nice to walk near the Imperial Palace, which adjoins the palace center of the city of Marunouchi and Khibiya Park. It is interesting to wander among the skyscrapers of Shinjuku, where the old entertainment district is still enriched with skyscrapers. It is worth remembering that here is left-hand traffic, public transport is convenient and comfortable. For people who are used to saving on travel, a bus is suitable, since a Japanese taxi is considered very expensive.

But since you are going to make a trip to Japan, then you should know that before departure tourist visa, which makes it possible to arrive in this country no more than 15 days. A prerequisite is to book a hotel room for the entire period.

And tourist trips to Japan will help you save money and enjoy your stay in this country. There are also combined tours to Japan and just trips to Japan offered by travel agencies that will help you navigate with visas and passport control.

They will advise on the transportation of animals, as well as your luggage, and of course they will inform you about how much a ticket to Japan costs. In addition to its randomness, Tokyo was and remains a mysterious labyrinth not only for visitors, but also for local residents. There are practically no addresses in our understanding. For example, the name Ginza is a spatial concept rather than a street. This is the first. And secondly, the numbering of houses is carried out not along the streets, but along the perimeter of the neighborhoods in the order of their development.

Therefore, before you go to visit some Japanese, it would be nice to get a schematic plan on how to get to it. Japan is a delightful country that impresses with its ancient history and traditions. Staying here will be unforgettable and informative for you.

About japan

Location: the total length of the well-developed coastline of Japan exceeds 30 thousand km. Almost 80% of the country's territory is occupied by low mountains and plateaus, and only 10% are meridionally extended high-mountain ranges, separated by narrow tectonic basins.

The highest mountain range is located in the central part of Honshu Island. Here is the highest peak in Japan - Mount Fuji (3,776 m). The last eruption of Mount Fuji occurred in 1707. Volcanic ash that was thrown out of the crater then fell asleep located at a distance of 100 km from Tokyo.

The plains, occupying no more than 10% of the country's total area, are very densely populated and almost entirely occupied by arable land. On the plains are concentrated the most important industrial regions of Japan.

Population: modern Japanese people are exceptionally hardworking and disciplined. In a society dominated by people aged 20 to 34, there are more women than men (103: 100). Along with the Japanese, who make up 99% of the population, small communities of Koreans, Chinese, and Americans live in the country.

The most densely populated southern part of Honshu, as well as the north of the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku, where the population density reaches 1000 people / sq. km (with an average country density of 335 people / sq. km). The least populated island is Hokkaido, the north of Honshu and the southern part of Kyushu. Most of the population of Japan is concentrated in cities. Territory: 377,800 sq. M. Km

Climate: the northern regions of Japan lie at about 45C s. w. (latitude of Crimea and Venice). In Europe, at this latitude, summers are very hot and winters are mild. Another thing is the northeast coast of Hokkaido, where under the influence of the cold Oyashio current (the Kuril current washing Hokkaido and the northeastern shores of Honshu) the sea is covered with ice in winter.

In the south-west and west, the coast of the Japanese islands is washed by the warm Kuroshio Current, due to which numerous coral reefs have grown around the Ryukyu Islands. Due to the considerable length from north to south, the Japanese islands are located immediately in three climatic zones: moderate warm in the north, subtropical in the center and tropical in the extreme south. A humid monsoon climate is superimposed on latitudinal zonality, covering all islands of the archipelago with its influence.

Throughout Japan, with the exception of Okinawa and the Ryukyu Islands, there is a distinct change in the four seasons. January temperatures range from -6 -10С in Hokkaido and -4 - 0С in the northern and central part of Honshu Island to + 64С in Kyushu and 14 - 18С on the Ryukyu islands extended far south.

In the summer months, when a warm and humid monsoon blows from the southeast, temperature differences in different regions are less pronounced: from + 28C in the south to 18-20C in the north. As you climb into the mountains, the temperature, regardless of the season, decreases by an average of 0.6 ° C every 100 m. The climate in Japan is generally humid. The average annual rainfall increases from north to south, ranging from 800-1500 mm in Hokkaido and Honshu to 2000-3000 mm in the Ryukyu archipelago.

The summer monsoon blowing from the ocean brings heavy rains in the east and south of the country, while the winter monsoon, coming from the depths of Asia, covers the whole northwest with snow.

Capital: Tokyo

Religion: Shintoism, Buddhism, new religions (a mixture of Shintoism, Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Confucianism), Christianity

Tongue: Japanese

Currency: Yen, exchanging large amounts is best at the airport of arrival, since in hotels they exchange no more than 300 USD per person per day, and in banks the exchange procedure is complicated by bureaucratic formalities.

Time: in summer, the difference with Moscow is 5 hours, and in winter 6.

Transport: The main modes of transport in the country are railways and sea vessels. Ultra-modern high-speed trains are divided into long-distance trains and local lines, which are divided into simple express trains, limited express trains ("semi-express trains") and ordinary electric trains that run with all the stops.

All trains are equipped with soft chairs, vending machines with coffee and soft drinks, they also have a toilet, a landline telephone and a sign in Japanese and English.

For traveling by rail, the Japan Rail Pass is convenient (valid only for travelers with a tourist visa and purchased in advance), which allows unlimited travel on trains, buses and ferries of Japan Railways, as well as on some trains of private companies for a certain period of time ( one, two or three weeks). A registered ticket, its transfer to another person is prohibited, during checks it is necessary to present a passport with the ticket.

Intracity railway lines are highlighted in color. The fare for them is 120-300 JPY, tickets are purchased in special machines at the stations (long lines to them are not uncommon) and are handed out at the exit from the train at the destination station. When switching from a branch of one company to a branch of another, a new ticket is bought.

You can pay for the ticket at the destination station. Japan also has a well-developed bus system. Most of them work from 7:00 to 21:00, some buses serving remote areas work from 5:30 to 23:00. At each stop, its name, route and its number are indicated (most often - only in Japanese).

Payment is made when boarding the bus. In a city, the trip costs about 200 JPY, outside the city - depending on the distance. There is a one-day ticket worth about 1,200 JPY (600 JPY for children under 12 years old), which in some cases is also valid for taking the metro.

The shops: department stores work every day from 10:00 to 21:00 or 22:00. Private shops, as well as shops at hotels, work according to their schedule. There is a network of small shops that operate around the clock, but offer a limited range of products, including, however, all the essentials.

The most expensive shops located in Shinjuku quarter, on Aoyama Dori Street, Tokyo "Champs Elysees." Young people prefer to dress in the Shibuya area, there are many inexpensive super-fashionable shops. Department stores in Japan are called "depots" (from the English department store) - they are truly huge here, much more than the Parisian Gallerie Lafayette and Printemps. The most important Japanese department stores - Mitsukoshi, Matsuzakaya, Matsuya, Isetan, Keio and some others are located in the Ginza and Shinjuku districts.

Electricity: the voltage in the network is 100 V, and the frequency (Hz) can be different. To work from the local network, each appliance must have the function of automatically changing the voltage 100/220 V. If it is not, no adapter will help.

Customs: there are no restrictions on the import of foreign currency. You can bring 500 g of tobacco, 400 cigarettes, 100 cigars, three containers of wine and vodka products (each no more than 760 ml), two ounces (56 ml) of perfumes, gifts and souvenirs with a total value of not more than 200,000 JPY to Japan without declaration.

When importing animals or plants, you must go to the quarantine desk. The import of firearms, pornography, drugs is prohibited (deportation and a lifelong ban on entry into the country are threatened with drugs), as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. There are restrictions on the import of furs, medicines (especially those containing 1-deoxyephedrine) and cosmetics.

Visa: the following documents are required for applying for a visa: a passport valid for 6 months from the end of the tour and with at least two blank pages, two photos, two completed questionnaires, a certificate of employment indicating the position of the tourist, a certificate from the travel company stating that the tour was bought in this company (it is provided by the tour operator), the tourist's power of attorney for the delivery and receipt of documents by the employees of the travel company.

If a child under the age of 18 is traveling without one of the parents, it is necessary to provide a notarized authorization-power of attorney of the second parent for this trip and a copy of the parent or national passport of this parent to verify the signatures in the passport and the power of attorney. The visa application deadline is from 10 to 14 days, cost: from 100 USD.

Kitchen: in Japanese cuisine, fresh and completely raw foods are widely used, and it is based on rice, fish and seaweed.

Most popular dishes: "Sushi" (or "sushi") - more than 200 types of rice balls with various fillings, "sashimi" - slices of raw fish, served with seasoning from soy sauce and green wasabi horseradish, as well as "sukiyari" - fried beef, vegetables and bean curd.

In Japan, you can try "marble meat" - the meat of a bull, which is grown like sumista, beer and massaged, as well as taste the famous heated sake vodka.

Some restaurants do not have a menu in English, but in this case it usually presents photographs of dishes.

Hotels: just as a theater for a spectator begins with a coat rack, a country for a tourist begins with a hotel where he is staying. He will make his first impressions from here. How we met, how we placed it - the level of service determines the level of hospitality for us and will certainly play a role in creating the image of the country. There is a set of international laws that define the category of a hotel, its “stardom”.

In Japan, there is no such classification as in Europe or America - from one to five stars. There is another gradation: there are standard hotels - the cheapest, hotels in the national style - ryokans, business hotels, superior and deluxe hotels. All hotels are completely different, each has its own characteristics, its own face. But all the Japanese hotels, without exception, are united by perfect cleanliness, the complete absence of even a hint of any mess, as well as attention and respect for the guest.

Beaches: since Japan is surrounded by the ocean, there are many beaches.

Most of them are open from July to August, although the initial period varies by location. Wakayama is a white sandy beach located in the hot springs. You can get to it in 5 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by bus from the train station, as well as 15 minutes from the airport, which operates from May to August. Okinawa Beach is located on the west coast of the emerald green ocean.

The best months to visit will be April - October.

Tip: giving "for tea" in Japan is categorically not accepted: 10-20% of the service is already included in the bill. It is better for a guest from the West to save his generosity for other countries and be sure to wait for the whole change until the last yen if he does not want a taxi driver or waiter to chase him down the street with a few pieces of paper in his hand.

Japan - One of the most mysterious countries and it is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime. Despite the fact that the culture of the Land of the Rising Sun experienced at one time a very strong influence of Chinese culture, it is distinguished by its originality and striking with a special aestheticism.

Location and climate of Japan

In many ways, this peculiarity is due to the location of this country. Japan consists of more than four thousand islands, the most important of which are Hokkaido, Ryukyu, Shikoku, Honshu and Kyushu. The country has access to several seas: from the west, its coast is washed by the Sea of Japan and the Korean Strait, from the east by the Pacific Ocean, from the north by the Sea of Okhotsk, and the southern coast is washed by the East China Sea.

A large part of the territory of Japan is made up of mountainous regions, and a rather large number of volcanoes are located on its territory, several of which are still showing seismic activity.

Japan's climate is also very dependent on the region. In the north of the country, the climate is temperate: in the summer months the air temperature warms up to +30 C, winters are quite severe here: the thermometer can drop to -15 C.

In the south, a tropical and subtropical climate prevails, which leads to high summer temperatures: up to +38 C (in winter about +16 C) and a large amount of rainfall per year.

sights

We recommend starting any acquaintance with Japan with its capital, Tokyo. Here you will see an amazing combination of modernity and tradition. The Japanese tend to respect their culture, nature and, in general, all living things. This is largely dictated by the influence of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, the combination of which created the amazing originality that Japan is so famous for.

In Tokyo, be sure to visit Shinjuku Gyoen Park, the Samurai Museum, the Odaiba District, the Miraikan National Museum of Advanced Science and Technology and Tokyo's oldest Senso-ji Temple. However, the number of attractions in the Japanese capital is not limited to these places, and in addition to Tokyo, you should definitely visit Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nikko and Kanazawa.

April 6, 2016, 10:20 Insetei: a place to try spring snacks while enjoying sakura

Pink mist envelops cities and villages - in Japan, cherry fever begins. Resistance is futile: you need to enjoy these delicate petals. When else to do this, if not at lunchtime or during a delicious dinner? Here are some places where you can enjoy not only the khans, but also taste delicious spring snacks.

It looks like an eatery, possibly spoiling the general view of the park, but it looks exactly the same as many centuries ago. True, the cafe was renovated less than ten years ago, and today it serves sukiyaki (beef meat with vegetables) and dishes of the classic Kaiseki cuisine.

During sakura blossoms, Insetei also serves seasonal dishes in a special multi-level bento package.

The most delicious dinner is served at Hasidaya. A big plus is its location. From the window of the second floor offers a beautiful view of blooming cherry blossoms.

And the restaurant’s cuisine is replete with chicken dishes, teppanyaki, yakitori and tebasaki wings. Interestingly, when it gets colder outside, they offer hot potted nabe.

Arriving in the Kichijouji area, you can head to Kin no Sarah, a place that boasts an ideal location, right at the entrance to Inokashira Park. From the magnificent open-air terrace, a magnificent panorama appears. And here you can taste delicious dishes of inventive modern Japanese cuisine.

Sakura blossomed in Tokyo on Thursday. The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that amid warm weather this year, it happened three days earlier than usual. True, the 2015 record is not broken. According to the agency, about 80% of the buds on sakura varieties Somei-Yosotherwise in the Yakusuni temple have already blossomed. On Thursday, pink blooms also enveloped the cities of Fukui, Gifu and Nagoya in central Japan, Wakayama and Tottori in the west, and the Saga in southwest Japan.

In all cities, Japanese cherries blossomed ahead of schedule this year. In Tokyo, a temperature of + 20.2 ° C was recorded (which corresponds to long-term average values at the end of April), while in Gifu and Wakayama the thermometer showed even higher - 22 ° C heat - the temperature that is usual for May in this region.

March 25, 2016 17:47 Tokyo hotels “turn pink” before sakura blossoms

Sakura trees begin to bloom throughout Japan. On the same days, preparations are underway for the khans, the traditional Japanese custom of admiring spring flowers. The custom originated in the Heian period (794-1185). Despite the fact that the word khans means "admiring the flowers," actually implied by the contemplation of the sakura petals. This is a period of relaxation and fun for families and friends in the shadow of the charming sakura blossom.

Restaurant Steak House Katsura

In addition to gardens and viewing platforms, from which the indescribable beauty of the landscapes of blooming sakura opens, in Japan you can also find other excellent places in which many are happy about the arrival of spring. Many institutions organize a number of events. For example, restaurants offer their visitors to enjoy the unusual taste of seasonal dishes.

For most cooks in Japanese restaurants, spring is a period that inspires and fills them with creative energy. Mountain vegetables, as well as sea bass, are especially popular. A unique menu with these ingredients is available at this time of year.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, as well as the nearby Grand Prince Hotel Shin-Takanawa, located near Shinagawa Station, for example, hosts an annual festival. It begins on March 19 and ends on April 10. The Japanese garden located on the territory of the hotel becomes open to visitors. Everyone can enjoy the beauty of more than 230 flowering trees of 19 sakura species, which blooms before the end of April.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo's restaurant has a special balcony. Here you can not only taste charcoal grilled fish, but also admire the symbol of Japan. At the same time, guests feel very comfortable thanks to the heated floor. The total cost of the menu is 35 thousand yen. The meals include grilled lobster, Kobe beef, shrimp and crab. But in the hotel restaurant Ristorante Caffe Ciliegio you can enjoy sakura through the huge panoramic windows. This establishment offers guests an Italian menu for a total of 7 thousand yen.

Tokyo Marriott Hotel is located in Gothenyama, a Tokyo neighborhood famous for cherry orchards. He began the spring with the Spring Delight promotion, which takes place in a hotel restaurant and bar. There is a special thematic menu dedicated to sakura. The event will continue until April 15th. Recently, the Sakura Terrace Box outdoor terrace has also become available to visitors. Here the menu is presented by thematic lunch-boxes wrapped in a special “furosiki” fabric. The composition of the obento includes 16 small dishes: from appetizers to desserts, including soup. The total cost of the menu is 3900 yen. You can order such a lunch box from noon to 16 hours. The restaurant also offers “Sakura Day Tea Party”: amazing buns, which include mashed sakura fruits. A tea set costs 3,600 yen per person. You can enjoy from 13:00 to 16:30.

The gardens of the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo are another establishment that has not ignored the sakura blossom season. In its garden, located in the Mejiro district, guests can enjoy 120 flowering sakura trees, as well as a variety of spring dishes presented in the hotel's restaurant menu. This can be done before April 10.

Japanese restaurant Miyuki offers a spring menu of "Hamanu Gozen", costing 5,500 yen, and "Kaiseki", costing 16,500 yen. But the Italian restaurant Il Teatro can please visitors with pasta with veal fillet and truffles worth 5500 yen and 16500 yen respectively. Themed dishes are also available on the Hotel Chinzanso's buffet menu. The cost for an adult is 4200 yen, and for students and schoolchildren - 2600 yen.

Soon, Japan will turn into a continuous garden. Hanami, the season of admiring sakura flowers, will be an occasion for festivities and a series of national festivals. Picnics in the lap of nature under pink inflorescences that cover trees with a magic cloud are an ancient tradition of the Japanese.

What to drink, what to eat - customs determine. Along with the classic sweetness, sakura-mochi, as well as other themed snacks of the spring season, the Japanese are pleased to bring a touch of modernity and extravagant piquancy to the tradition praised for centuries. The present century is also making its own adjustments. Large corporations have discovered a fantastic marketing move. Familiar to all food products, but already with the symbols of sakura - doing business on the flowering symbol of Japan is now a fashionable trend.

Global holdings have released a line of popular products with the "correction for the wind." The high tourist season, which is built on a two-week sakura blossom, provides good sales and a successful financial future for the project. As a result, like in parks all over Japan, everything blooms on the shelves of supermarkets with a riot of pink shades - from beer to coffee, from chocolate to chips, and even everything - McDonald's surrendered under the onslaught of Hanami Mania. TOP-10 amazing and unusual products that you want to taste already only for the packaging design, in our rating.

  • 2 . Now that you are the happy owner of a mug a la sakura branch, why not fill it with a sakura cola from Kimura’s company? The extract of real sakura leaves gives this bubbly drink the taste of real spring. Interestingly, these are not the first “alchemical" experiments of the brand. Previously, they had already invented soda flavors of curry, tomato and wasabi. Customers were not only alive, but also pleased with the new product. So, definitely - the company knows what it is doing.
  • 4 . If sake or chu-hi miracle drinks are too strong for your sophisticated taste, then Sanktgalle sakura motifs are just what you need. Moreover, the manufacturer, when inventing this drink, probably drew inspiration from the original gastronomic traditions of Japan. Sakura-mochi treat is a spring treat made from rice cake and beans wrapped in sakura leaves. It is noteworthy that this type of beer is brewed in a brewery based in Kanagawa Prefecture. Here, they carefully treat not only the production process, but also the raw materials supplied. For beer production, only cherries from Takato (Nagano Prefecture) are used. The interesting taste of sakura mochi, along with its low hop content, makes Sanktgalle beer a spring-like light and sophisticated drink.
  • 6 . It is known that Nestle already “tested” bars of pumpkin and, of course, cherries on Japanese customers. But this year, the company decided to go further in its bold ideas. Kit-Katy with pistachio and raspberry flavor began to be delivered in a box in the spring style. The owners of the company claim: this is the perfect taste of "pleasure khans."

  Lindt
  • 7 . Lindt introduced a win-win option to customers. Sakura macaroons are an apotheosis for those who are beside themselves with sakura sweets. Treats are filled with mashed cherry ganache. The taste of the real hanami is available from April 12 at the Lindt Chocolate chain cafe. For those for whom this will not be enough, they can get culinary ecstasy by tasting an iced smoothie of cherry juice and white chocolate, decorated with white chocolate chips and a pattern of cherry syrup.
  • 9 . How about without Red Bull? The consortium could hardly stay away from the sakura trend. Be sure this pink-colored energy drink is designed to keep you conscious (whether you like it or not) until the morning at all parties by the khans.

  Baskin robbins
  • 10 . After a 24-year lull, the company strives to literally “blow up” the taste buds of the sweet tooth. Brand managed to create something ... Salted sakura-flavored ice cream. Sounds weird? Take a look at the previous 9 points again - are you still surprised at anything? Real sakura leaves and sea salt, combined with the sweet creamy taste of ice cream - obviously it took a quarter of a century to invent this. You can try this delicacy until the end of May.

Drinking pink Red Bull, eating a sakura hamburger with cherry oil or macaroon, you will undoubtedly remember this spring in Japan for a long time. In addition, manufacturers have provided for the delicate side of life. Sakura-printed toilet paper is probably designed to make your trip to the bathroom as memorable as the high season of all parties about sakura blossom combined. Eat, pray, love ... sakura is a good motto for the khans, isn't it?

March 19, 2016, 10:10 The Blooming Cherry Front begins its journey along the archipelago, following to the north of Japan

Sakura began to bloom in Japan on Saturday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The trees of the Somei Yoshino variety always bloom first, they can already be observed in various regions of the country. Sakura blossomed four days earlier than usual, on Saturday, in Fukuoka. Seven days earlier in Nagoya. The agency explains this with unusually warm weather conditions. The height of flowering is expected from March 26 to March 29.

« I feel the breath of spring"Said Yasutaka Nanri from the city of Fukushima, who was just passing by a flowering tree. " I look forward to the trees blooming all over Japan, and the feast of admiring sakura begins».

The Japan Meteorological Agency is responsible for monitoring the sakura flowering frontier throughout the country. The agency issues relevant reports and forecasts throughout the season, informing how flowering is gradually moving from south to north of Japan. Not only Japanese khans, but also tourists who come from all over the world on the feast of admiring sakura are interested in accurate forecasts of the meteorological agency.

Japan Weather Association encourages people who plan to come to the khans to organize their trip earlier this year than usual. Sakura will be in full bloom from the end of March, as well as in the first week of April in the western part of the Kanto region.

Based on materials from online publications.

The transition from winter to summer is just beginning, and this means that the time of magic is coming - the flowering season. When winter weakens the grip, tender petals begin to make their way out of the buds on bizarre branches. In February, it is a plum, and at the end of March - sakura. This is the earliest sign that, soon, heat will gradually envelop the entire Japanese archipelago. This process, as well as its surreal "pink-colored" results, portends something incredibly good for the Japanese, though it is difficult to describe. Even strict government officials become kinder when sakura blossoms.

Sakura blooms in Tokyo in late March

The weather still echoes the winter coolness, but the hearts and minds of the Japanese population have already begun to thaw. I can only describe this as "spring break of the soul." While the word "hanami" simply means "admiring the flowers" in Japanese, the spring festival of joy symbolizes the beloved season of the year - spring. So, prepare a rain cover and picnic tableware, we will choose the place that best suits the preferences of your family. Below are a few places in Tokyo that must be marked on the map of your walks in the spring.

Yoyogi Park. This is one of my favorite places for khans. Although, this place may not be the best for children. Of course, there are beautiful trees and a unique festive atmosphere, but you will also find broken bottles, aggressive ravens and hordes of drunk students from the local college. Nevertheless, in spite of all this, there is something in this park - perhaps it is the energy of the local nature that makes it come back here every season. People here really do whatever they like: spend costume parties, banquets and sing in karaoke. All around are friendly and welcoming to children. But, being hopped, they may not notice that they light a cigarette a few inches from your baby’s face, so be careful. The best place for families is in the center of the park - right behind the fountains. There are not many flowering trees, but there is a lot of space where children can frolic and run, not afraid to collide with other strolling passers-by.

Arisugawa Park. Located minutes from Hiroo Station. There are not many sakura trees in this park, but a lot of picturesque places. Near the library there is a good playground for kids. The National Adzabu Supermarket is located directly across the road - everything you may need for a picnic can be bought there. Since Arisugawa Park is hilly, it will be interesting for older children to play hide and seek. There are many stone steps on the territory. Those with strollers can use the sidewalk that runs along the entire perimeter of the park.

  Ueno Park

Ueno Park. This is the 800-pound gorilla that holds the lead among all the Hanami Tokyo parks. But all I can advise is to stay away from this place. I have been there with my children several times over the past decade, and I always wanted to leave immediately. If there are places in the park that are favorable for the child, I would like to know them. But, all I have ever seen is dozens of hopelessly drunken bodies lying right under flowering trees. Those with claustrophobia - beware.

Aoyama cemetery. Here you will find some of the brightest and most photogenic places of the season, but keep in mind this is a cemetery, so you should pay tribute and respect etiquette. This is a beautiful place for walking with babies, but it is not a place where children should play. The best option is a walk.

  Nakameguro River

Nakameguro River. The landscape here is especially magical after sunset. This is an ideal place for a walk, however, only not in the afternoon. Flowering trees grow mainly on the main highway, where children have little room for maneuver. But, all the coastal restaurants and kiosks are along the sidewalk, and this is a great place for walking, having a snack and admiring the trees. Especially after dusk, because sakura is illuminated by artificial illumination.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Park. My main choice for families during the Hanami season (and not only) is Shinjuku Gyoen. The garden is rich in beautiful trees and picturesque places to relax. Well-being and cleanliness in the park are well monitored: there is no pigeon droppings and broken glass. Lawns are neatly trimmed and not trampled. If it’s cold outside, you can go on an excursion to the recently renovated greenhouse to keep warm. In all respects, Shinjuku Gyoen wins. In particular, it is worth considering the fact that the season of khans lasts even longer because "yaesakurs" grow here, which usually bloom for about two weeks after other varieties of cherries have already showered. However, there are several features: the park closes at 4 pm, and drinking alcohol on site is prohibited. Bags are often checked at the gates, although, I witnessed how the caretakers still closed their eyes to a bottle of wine or sake.

March 10, 2016, 13:43 Norwegian will become one of the main characters at the sakura blossom festival

Twenty-seven-year-old Norwegian became the first Western woman to be selected for the lead role at the sakura blossom festival in the city of Tsubame (Niigata Prefecture). During the festival, all participants dress in costumes of courtesans of the Edo era (1603-1868).

Annette Hansen, who is currently living in Tokyo, was chosen by the festival organizers to play the role of one of the three oirans or courtesans who are to defile through the streets of the city on April 17. For the first time in the 74 years of the festival's existence, a woman of non-Japanese nationality was chosen for this key role, representatives of the Tsubame Tourism Council said this.

Hansen, who came to Japan in 2010, is a hotel reservation manager for a large company. According to official statements by local officials, the Norwegian was selected on the basis of careful selection, consisting of two rounds.

« Being elected for the role of oiran is a great honor for me. This festival is associated with traditional Japanese traditions, because during its holding a special role is given to national clothes and the symbol of Japan - sakura"Said Annette Hansen.

In addition to the Norwegians, two more Japanese women will take part in the festival. All three will be dressed in courtesan costumes. The festival will also bring together about 70 participants as servants. After the official part, an extensive photo shoot with participants is expected.

The main heroines of the holiday will be shod in sandals on a 15-centimeter platform. They will have to demonstrate the unique oiran walking style that they used to entertain guests in the distant Edo era.

It is worth noting that when making the final decision on the main heroines of the holiday, among other things, their physical preparation was taken into account. The fact is that the total weight of the girl’s outfits is about 30 kilograms.

Annet Hansen also said that she was very worried, because at previous festivals there were unpleasant embarrassments, when the girls elected to the role of courtesans could not finish their participation in the holiday due to overwhelming two-hour physical activity. In addition to the outfit, the girls will also have a special wig from the time of Edo, which was customary to wear in that era.

For the first time, Pepsi with sakura flavor will appear on the market.

Japanese beverage maker Suntory has announced the first ever sparkling water with a unique sakura and pepsi flavor, the first batch of which is due out this spring.

When it comes to soft drinks in Japan, the local consumer is spoiled for a wide variety of them: from white winter Pepsi to a Pepsi ghost dedicated to Halloween. On the account of the Japanese national producer of Pepsi, Suntory, many original products, for example, a drink with a combined taste of lemon and mint, or even with the taste of salted watermelon, but Pepsi with sakura flavor has never been released.

Something slightly similar was produced by other manufacturers, for example, cola-flavored strawberry milk, which appeared in the spring of 2014 during the cherry blossom season.

Back in mid-winter, Asahi beer bottles began to try on spring motifs associated with the upcoming sakura blossom. Recently, a Japanese brewery has launched a new beer line called Asahi Super Dry. The alcoholic beverage will go on sale this spring. You can buy it in a limited period: only in spring.

Beer itself, as a drink, will not change at all - it will be the same Asahi Super Dry beer. Only the design of its packaging will change. The bottle will be decorated in bright pink sakura during their most active flowering. Such a bottle, without a doubt, will be an excellent decoration for the festival of contemplation of Japanese cherries.

For the second year in a row, Asahi is celebrating spring with its dedicated beverage line. Last year, spring beer was joyfully greeted by the Japanese, especially the beautiful half. Consumers bought about 620 thousand bottles of alcoholic beverage, which was double the expected results. This year it is planned to release several times more seasonal products.

The beer line will be represented by bottles with a capacity of 633 and 500 milliliters and cans with a capacity of 135, 250, 350 and 500 milliliters, as well as a special two-liter aluminum mini-barrel.

Regardless of volume, all packaging has a bright and festive design. It is worth noting that Asahi Super Dry beer has already gone on sale in cans with a capacity of 350 and 500 milliliters, the rest of the products will be available and will go on free sale from March 8. Note that beer in cans of 633 and 500 milliliters was almost completely sold on February 2, again it should go on sale on March 29.

The Asahi Super Dry spring beer line will be available until the end of April. Therefore, if you are going to Japan during this period, do not miss the great opportunity to purchase an exclusive offer from Asahi Brewery.

« If only we could fall like a cherry blossom in spring - so pure and radiant!»

World War II transformed the color of sakura. The twenty-two-year-old kamikaze pilot who made this haiku before dying in battle in February 1945 didn’t even foresee how soon Hiroshima and Nagasaki would give a new “color” to that familiar cherry blossom - a blossom transformed into a human ideal of beauty, achievable thanks to a beautiful death. It is necessary to be him in order to enjoy to the fullest, and become a part of it, as suicide bombers became.

« Dear Parents", - wrote another, -" please congratulate me. They gave me a great opportunity to die. This is my last day. The fate of our Motherland now depends on a decisive naval battle in the south, where I will fall like a color from shining sakura».

Sakura color has long symbolized the disappearance, beauty, beauty of extinction and the ideal warrior of Japan. He always glorified self-sacrifice. That is why, on the threshold of the 20th century, it was the sakura flower that combined the notion that men dying for their sacred Motherland actually became a cherry blossom, because they acquire an unearthly, superior beauty, “so pure and radiant!” they become.

Other countries also raised warriors and patriots, filled with a vision of a separate life as trivial things in comparison with serving the Motherland. But none of them was endowed with such a terrible, terrible beauty as the color of sakura.

A more practical example of how another culture considers the same topic is a brief excerpt from a letter that a young French revolutionary fighter wrote to his father in 1792. " Our freedom can only be guaranteed if there is a corpse mattress on the bed... I agree to become one of them". (Quoted by the historian Simon Cham in the book Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution.) The Japanese would rightfully admire his strength of mind, but it is a pity that he was not a poet.

It was, according to Ivan Morris, “ one of the strangest and sharpest weapons in war history"-" a one-sided glider that comes close to the target even at high altitude, and then dives sharply down at tremendous speed, which detonates a warhead on an enemy ship ... the suicide craft itself could disable the ships of the enemy navy, which now ( 1944-1945) besieged the islands of slowly breathing Japan. In addition, the use of such weapons would demoralize foreigners who were not psychologically prepared for such methods of war. ”

This weapon is called ok, in honor of the additional reading of "sakura flower." The Americans gave it another name - Tank bomb or, in other words, "idiot bomb."

About 5 thousand Japanese military "fell like a sakura flower." The damage they were able to inflict on the ships of the United States and its allies was minor. However, as was planned, this had a very strong psychological effect, but the result was unforeseen. Hoping for the demoralization of the enemy, the Japanese did not even think that the Americans decided to use extraordinary methods to war with such an extraordinary country. And it turned out that the bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dropped on August 6 and 9, 1945.

On August 16, Japan surrendered. On the same day, Vice Admiral Takijiro Onishi, who was the initiator of the Oka terrorist attack, performed the ritual hara-kiri right in his own residence in Tokyo. He was also a poet. " Today is in flower, tomorrow is in scattered wind. - Such is our heyday. Can we really think that its fragrance lasts forever?»

The celebration of the Chinese New Year is still in full swing, but it is already known that a record number of foreign tourists came to celebrate this holiday in Japan. After this event, the country's hotels and restaurants will have only a month to prepare for the next huge wave of tourists who will come in March and April to meet spring and see the cherry blossom.

Predicting the exact start date for the khans has always been considered a priority issue for the Japanese travel industry. The country's popularity is growing rapidly, more and more tourists from different countries want to visit the island state.

According to the forecasts of Japanese experts, this year sakura will first bloom in the southwestern part - the cities of Fukuoka and Kumamoto. This will happen around March 25th. Behind them, on March 26, sakura will blossom in Tokyo and Nagoya. The ancient capital of Kyoto will see sakura blossom on March 29, while residents and tourists of the northern city of Sapporo on the island of Hokkaido can only enjoy sakura blossom from May 2. As a rule, it takes about a week to fully blossom the flower.

The forecast is based on continuous temperature studies, taking into account the data of the last few months. Typically, low temperatures in late autumn and early winter and high temperatures in early spring lead to early flowering. With regard to 2016, this year the terms correspond to the annual average.

Chinese airlines intend to take measures to fully ensure the possibility of increased passenger air travel in March and April. It was during this period that there was a rapid increase in the number of Chinese tourists coming to Japan.

According to employees of the Tokyo representative office of China Southern Airlines, they took measures to increase the number of places for transporting tourists during the sakura blossom. In March - April 2015, 3 million 200 thousand tourists visited Japan. Among them, about 800 thousand guests from China.

The Japanese Hydrometeorological Center will update its forecast for sakura blossoms every day, starting February 24. If we talk about last year, the forecast for the beginning of sakura blossom was with an error of three days.

May 5, 2015, 11:57 Sakura, which was planted by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, bloomed in Moscow

The cherry tree that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe planted in Moscow two years ago has blossomed. As a sign of hope for the development of friendly relations between Japan and Russia, Abe, on an official visit in April 2013, planted a tree in the Japanese garden, which is managed by the Russian Academy of Sciences. The seedling was taken from a cherry tree planted in the garden in 1986 by his late father, former Foreign Minister Shintaro Abe, who contributed to the development of Japan's relations with the former Soviet Union.
