This year the festival was held in the form of a bell-bell ringer, which gathered 60 ringers from all over the country, as well as Belarus and Kazakhstan. On Saturday, May 27, masters of bell ringing, together with the president of the Association of Bell Art of Russia Alexander Yareshko, discussed at a scientific and practical conference the problems of preserving ringer traditions.

According to its results, a resolution was adopted in which representatives of different schools expressed their position regarding the use of mechanical ringing in churches and temples: “Of particular concern are cases of neglect of the thousand-year-old tradition in the form of refusals from the bell ringers, ring bells, speculation on books, materials that are dishonest deducted from other sources, etc.

Any, the most perfect mechanism, cannot praise the Lord, it must be done by a spiritualized person, just like the singers in the church cannot be replaced by sound recording and its broadcasting into sound recordings.

Bell ringing is not a ringing of "heavy metal". The ringing of the bell is the “voice of God,” a prayer addressed to people, a call to them, ”the resolution says.

Speaking to the participants and spectators of the conference, the Dean of the Aleksey deanery, Archpriest Pavel Churashov remembered how the Festival was born. During a pilgrimage to the Saraktash monastery, Father Paul was struck by the sound of their bells.

Then there were no bells in the Resurrection Church under construction, and he turned to Alexei Demidov with a request to arrange a belfry. Alexey Ivanovich supported this idea and at the beginning of 2002 bells were brought from Kamensk-Uralsk. Under the guidance of the most experienced master Vladimir Petrovsky, a belfry was arranged, which 15 years later turned into one of the centers of ringer art.

And the festival over the years from a timid concert of Alekseevsky ringers, which Vladimir Maryanovich taught for several months, has turned into a festival of all-Russian scale, which not only the residents of the region but also the republic are looking forward to!

And Alekseevskoye became one of the centers for the development of bell ringing, because after the conference three workshops and bell towers of the church hosted master classes from representatives of different bell schools.

And on Sunday, despite the cool weather, the Cathedral Square was filled with several thousand spectators who gathered to listen to bell-shaped overflows and look at authors and performers of sacred and folk music, folklore and dance groups. In total, the artists arrived there were about 250 people.

Before the start of the holiday, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasil Shaykhraziev, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexei Demidov, State Duma deputy Olga Pavlova, accompanied by the head of the district, Vladimir Kozonkov, examined the shopping arcade of the “City of Masters”, which unfolded nearby.

At the opening of the Festival, Vasil Shaikhraziev congratulated Alekseyevites, participants and guests on behalf of the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and noted that from the point of view of Orthodoxy and Islam, such festivals are accompanied by spirituality:

When we, on the basis of the laws, traditions and culture of our ancestors, on the basis of Orthodoxy, educate ourselves, educate our children and grandchildren, pass on the greatness of Russia from generation to generation, this is our strength, unity. More recently, in 2003, the festival was just in its infancy, and years later it became international.

I would like to wish the Alekseevsky Chimes longevity so that from year to year the number of participants and spectators becomes larger. And as a heritage of the festival, so that we in our families, our homes, in our Tatarstan, Russia always feel peace, respect for elders and educate the younger generation on the example of this.

The Bishop of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk Parmen also welcomed the guests:

Today, Alekseevskoe, Tatarstan, Russia, this bell ringing testifies to the call for peace, the call to love, which Christ himself commanded. As the ancients said, it's time to forge swords for yelling for a long time and stop fighting.

I’ll add on my own behalf - to pray, work, build, rebuild temples and mosques, love, help the old and poor, create families, give birth to children, give them the opportunity to remember history and never forget it.

After that, the ringer squad appeared on the stage, which was led by the honorary guest Alexander Yareshko and the smallest Cossack in the world, Ivan Shuvarov, who became famous after participating in the TV show "Best of All". Eminent ringer Sergei Maltsev (Rostov on the Don), Yuri Pavlov (Samara), Vladimir Degtyarev (Yaroslavl), Bogdan Berezkin (Minsk), Pavel Lyalin (Moscow) and Ksenia Plekhanova (Alekseevskoye) under the leadership of the President of the Association of Ringer Art delighted the audience with the simultaneous ringing all belfries.

This year, the organizers of the gala concert presented the audience with potpourri from the final songs that sounded in different years. Moreover, participants of previous festivals were invited for this.

By tradition, the anthem of Alekseevsky chimes was performed by regular participants of the festival Stanislav Barteniev and Anna Sizova, as well as Ekaterina Belova. We kindly recalled the first ringers who stood at the origins of the festival, as well as the organizers of the bell tower.

At the same time, shots and explosions were heard at the stadium, which were arranged by fans of historical reconstruction at the Cossack Settlement.

According to the ataman of the village "Alekseevskaya" Yuri Egorov, this project is being implemented as part of the bell ringing festival "Alekseevskaya Chimes" for the third year in a row. This year, the Cossack Settlement program included a historical reconstruction of combat episodes from the civil war of 1918-1922, dedicated to the events near the village of Bolshoi Krasny Yar (now the Stepnoshentalinsky rural settlement).

The reconstruction was attended by representatives of the military historical clubs “3rd Don Cossack Battery” from Dimitrovgrad, “Regimental Intelligence”, “Azov Red Navy”, “147 Samara Infantry Regiment” from Samara, “Avtobat” and “Combat Unit” from Ulyanovsk, as well as participants in the children's movement "Svyatich" under the "Union of Cossack Warriors of Russia and Abroad."

In the second part, a combat episode of the times of World War II was played, in which the events of June 1944 near Vitebsk were restored. The production was attended by representatives of the military-historical clubs Citadel and Vityaz from Kazan, Zvezda from Alekseevsky and the search unit Vystrel of Chistopol.

Between the “fights”, the festival guests heard many military and Cossack songs performed by the Zakamsky Cossack Choir from Naberezhnye Chelny. Also, representatives of the Cossack communities “Borovetsky Khutor” and “The Village of Cheremshanskaya” held a master class among spectators on flanking with a saber, and the folk group “Siberian Cossack. Kazan ”organized national games.

We are coming for the second time. Last year were as spectators. And this year, the children performed and rested from the heart, sang and danced. It's nice that they recognize Vanya, but on the other hand, he is only 5 years old, and such fame fell on him. It is good that he is small and does not yet realize this severity.

He is already tired of this, because all the time they approach him, ask for something, ask him to take a picture. And the festival itself is very positive. Here are the Cossack brothers, the clergy, the fair of craftsmen. I have not seen a single person today with a sour face.

This suggests that the festival really succeeded, people come here, it is interesting to people. We arrived yesterday, and for the first time we are in such an atmosphere that we fall asleep and wake up to the ringing of bells, because until eleven at night we had rehearsals, and in the morning we also rang the bells.

Indescribable sensations of spiritual purity, grace. We are glad that on Alekseevsky land they consider us countrymen. All our relatives are from Shuran, it is not far from here, and therefore we are all fellow countrymen here, on the big Kama River. Next year we plan to come with all our relatives, there are twenty of us.

Unfortunately, at the border there were difficulties for the ringer from Ukraine, Irina Zvyagolskaya, and she could not come to the festival, which made her very upset. Through the newspaper, Irina sends greetings to all Alekseyevites, and the ringer wants to constantly improve:

To all ringleaders of good health, success in bell art, always to be on top, to learn and develop, not to be lazy, to strive for the best. All the best and huge greetings from Dikanka.

The festival of bell ringing ended with an evening concert, at which the festival participants did not freeze the audience. Artists, warmed them with their perky and cheerful numbers. The performances of the guslars of the Zhivaya Voda ensemble, Stanislav Bartenev, Anna Sizova and other performers forced them to dance and sing along.

Well, the festive salute, which did not leave anyone indifferent, became the chic end of the Festival!

Invites all ringers to the bell ringing festival, which will be held as part of the celebration of the patronal feast. On Saturday, July 21, after the morning festive service, it is planned to hold the second festival of bell ringing.

In the first part of the festival the following typical bells will sound:

  • Blagovest - ringing before the beginning of the service, characterized by measured blows to one of the big bells-evangelists;
  • Chime - a solemn ringing using all, including small bells.
  • Funeral busting - ringing with alternate blows to the bells from small to large with a subsequent blow "in full."
  • Water chime - chime for the consecration of the Great Epiphany Water, seven beats to each bell in turn from large to small.
  • Lenten - otherwise, ringing “in two” - ringing on weekdays of Lent and Holy Week: 40 unhurried blows to two (usually the largest) bells.
  • Wedding (booster) - solemn ringing to complete the wedding. It is characterized by the gradual inclusion of increasingly heavy bells and, sometimes, the acceleration of the rhythm.

The second part of the festival will contain traditional ringing from all gathered ringers from different parishes of Russia. At the festival, every bell ringer can please guests with his art of bell ringing and exchange experience with other bell ringers!

In recent years, work is underway to revive the art of bell ringing, lost in the Soviet period. New bell casting factories are opening, casting methods are being reconstructed. Active actions are being taken to recreate and preserve historical traditional ringing, educational activities are being conducted. Ringing schools are opening, events related to bell ringing are being organized.

In the Old Believers, the art of bell ringing developed in a more isolated and complex way. In the tsarist years, the activities of the Old Believers were prohibited, and bell ringing was accordingly prohibited. In the Soviet period, churches were closed everywhere and bells were destroyed and melted down. Currently, in connection with the construction of churches and the registration of new communities, there is a need to revive the art of bell ringing, which is an integral part of Orthodox worship. Bell ringing creates a certain sound atmosphere around the temple, reports on the actions taking place in the temple, carries a peculiar sermon. One of the ways to popularize the art of bell ringing and to improve the general level of mastery of the technique is to conduct cultural events related to bell ringing. Since last year in Siberia in the city of Novokuznetsk passes. Festivals of bells and at the base of the temple in with. B. Nepryakhino. Nepryahinskaya bell tower has a standard selection of 9   bells weighing from 4   before 620   kg

To participate in the festival, everyone is invited ringer of the Old Believer churches from all over Russia and not only. Preferably, no later than   July 20, inform the organizers of their intention to participate in the festival. Telephone for communication on the organization of the bell ringing festival: 8 910 895 68 60 Sergei. The cause of the revival of the art of bell ringing is our common cause - the cause of the development of the Old Believers!
