Tours in the province of France tour operator. Tours in the southern provinces of France. Southern provinces of France

We offer sightseeing tours to France in 2020. Here you will find weekly tours to Paris with a departure from Moscow and other cities for a week or a weekend. We also offer a variety of excursions in Paris and around Paris. But our main difference is that we specialize in guided tours of the provinces of France.

Here you will find weekly sightseeing tours "Visit to Paris" and the author's tour "Paris - Normandy - Brittany" (on Saturdays and Sundays), the author's tour "Exclusive tour of Normandy - Brittany" (several times a year), a wonderful sightseeing tour " Paris - Champagne - Burgundy - Alsace "(once a month), as well as the original tour" Colors of Provence "and other interesting tours in the South of France.

In our tours you will find the Provinces of France: Normandy, Brittany, Provence, Cote d'Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon, Aquitaine, Burgundy, Champagne, Alsace.

Our tours in France are designed for tourists from different cities. In each round, in the "Transport" section, there is information on flights and transfers.

In the south of France we offer a tour "Colors of Provence"   - a region that we know and love well, there is a wonderful exclusive program "Traveling in the Southern Provinces of France" for 8 days and his older brother "A great trip to the southern provinces of France + Colors of Provence"   for 12 days. This is really a great journey, full of impressions, but tireless, despite the duration and abundance of visited cities and attractions. Of course, all tours can be combined with prolonging your stay in Nice or relaxing in other resort cities of the French Riviera.

Perhaps it is worth mentioning another program "Spain - France - Catalonia"   . It is good to combine with relaxation on the Spanish Costa Brava.

Programs are carried out on our comfortable buses with experienced drivers and guides. Our transport allows us not only to provide a high class of service, but also to guarantee all the stated dates of the tours. We wish you a vivid travel experience in France.

The first 2 weeks of September 2008.

Nice-Avignon-Pont du Gard-Nime-Carcassonne-Bordeaux-Cognac-Angouleme-Saint Emilion-Arcachon-Sarly la La Caneda-Rocamadour-Toulouse-Arles-Marseille + rest in Nice

The trip was just wonderful, very interesting and informative, albeit very difficult. Moreover, the flight was to Genoa (Italy), and then by bus to Nice. The tour was just for endurance, because in the extreme heat (it was more than +30), I had to walk almost 10 km with my legs almost every day, and even in the mountains, steps, and abbeys. We must pay tribute, all the hotels along the route we had from "3+" to "4 stars" with breakfast "buffet", i.e. with a hot buffet, which is very healthy and a rarity for sightseeing in France. I liked Nice, however, the dominance of Russian speech, you feel like in Sochi, and I went to speak French in particular. From the Mount Chateau offers an incomparable panoramic view: the Bay of Angels, the English Promenade, palaces, parks, shops, restaurants. Bright sun, blue sky, turquoise sea. And all this is poetically called the Cote d'Azur! But personally, I would never choose Nice for a beach holiday. The beach is a large pebble, very very prickly legs. And the equipped beach is not much different: only a sunbed - 20 euros, a soft mattress - 5 euros, an umbrella - 5 euros, and entry into the water is the same stupid. I had to buy special slippers for swimming.

Then we move to Avignon, famous for its bridge over the Rhone River, the papal palace and the Notre Dame de Dom Cathedral. The Rhone is marvelously good, its shores are simply buried in lush vegetation, and the emerald waters are carried by a stormy stream. In one of the restaurants in the center of Avignon, a waiter comes up to us, a purely Russian boy from Samara, whose mother married a Frenchman. Now he is French. We eat a deliciously tasty fish and drink everything with a pink wine. Mmm ... What a delight! From Avignon we are taken to a wine tasting in the Chateau Laurent Charles Brott. It used to be castles, but now the chateau is a manor with outbuildings and endless vineyards. The tasting is conducted by the young owner himself, and even with a guided tour. Of course, we buy 3-4 bottles of wine at a price of 20 to 50 euros for each, remembering that the suitcase on the way back should weigh no more than 20 kg. From Avignon we move to a place called "Pont du Gard" (literally, "bridge over the Gard River"). Roman legionnaires also left their legacy here. A gorgeous, in several tiers, aqueduct, which was built not by slaves, but by the Romans themselves with a good technical education. And a quiet village nearby. In the river you can clearly see how the fish is teeming, and herons are standing decorously on the banks. I would be an artist, I would directly sketch this landscape! Next we go to the city of Nimes. He is not at all small. On his coat of arms - crocodiles. Residents are still at war with La Costa, which supposedly stole their crocodiles. The city is decorated with huge arenas reminiscent of the Roman Colosseum, by the way, they still conduct bullfighting here, but they do not kill bulls. A lot of beautiful squares and fountains, from the oldest to super stylish and modern. Everyone is allowed into the city hall, the doors there simply do not close. The canal itself is beautiful, along which we are walking. We go into the "Garden of Fountains", admire the temple of Diana, no one knows in what century it was erected. It’s hot, strong sun, no less than +33, and it’s already September. But the photos will be magnificent.

Then we move to the medieval walled city of Carcassonne. As the French sayite, i.e. its central part is fenced with fortress walls with loopholes. The beginning of its construction dates back to the 15th century. I was there with my husband 6 years ago, we drove a car to Carcassonne from Spain. Nothing changed. Everything is just as beautiful, there are several museums: schools, ghosts and the Inquisition (the latter, by the way, is very interesting). And now about the town itself. It is located on very convenient routes, so everyone wanted to "take it in hand". He was very often besieged. And according to legend, during a long siege, Madame Carcassus began to throw pigs from the fortress walls. By this, she wanted to show the besiegers that the besieged inhabitants still had a lot of provisions. The siege was lifted ... Since then, the city is called Carcassonne, and on the Narbonne Gate a bas-relief of Madame Carcasson is painted. By the way, it was here that the film "Robin Hood" was filmed with the participation of Kevin Costner. Wonderful town. But we lived outside the walls of the city, already in a simple city, however, also very old. Our hotel was called "Terminus". Simple 3 stars +, the only hotel of this level, all the rest were normal European “fours”. I did not like the hotel, reception - well, the station was poured into a design plan, but the hotel had a pool and a jacuzzi. The rooms are tiny, between the sink and the bathroom directly to the toilet itself I made my way sideways and exhaled air !!!

After Carcassonne, we move to Bordeaux. Surprisingly, very few hiking trails pass through this city. However, I did not really like him. A large industrial city, very modern. And through it flows the wide and very dirty Garona River. True, it is dirty not from industrial waste, like our Moscow River, but from clay shores. I liked only the long embankment with a fountain, all in flowers, but it was necessary to call it “Customs Embankment”! We live in Bordeaux for 3 days, going on excursions and returning to it. Here we have a very decent 4-star Novotel chain hotel. The room is large, spacious, with a chic bathroom and an isolated toilet. And what a good restaurant in this hotel, you can say right with delicious delicacies! We drink wine a little bit, but at breakfast, before lunch, at lunch, before dinner, at dinner, and after dinner. And do not even get drunk. Peerless wines!

Then we move to the city of Cognac, which stands on the beautiful Charente River. Amazingly beautiful bridge, all entwined with flowers. I can not resist, taking pictures. The castle itself (chateau) belonged for many years to Baron Otar, who specialized in the production of cognac. Here the brandy is real, and everywhere in other places - only brandy. A few centuries ago, the chateau belonged to Francis I. himself. An unusual man was at that time. Tall, healthy, oblique fathom in the shoulders and bent the horseshoes with his hands. But he really loved the female sex, and therefore died prematurely. He had a mistress Belle Froniere, and her husband could not forgive in any way that she was the favorite of the king. He "awarded" his wife syphilis, that of the king. The sad result is that all three died prematurely ... But Francis did not forget about his wife, who bore him 7 children. We go into the chateau. An excursion in Russian is conducted by a simple Ukrainian girl who has long lived and worked there, in a simple long dress stylized as a peasant woman. And here we see mannequins in medieval clothes. Bah! Yes, this is Francis the First himself with Claudine of France and his retinue. I can not resist, taking pictures! And then they lead us through the vaulted halls and down to the cellars, show the vaults, talk about the distillation system. And ... finally, a tasting. Pour little, little, and only 2 varieties. Of course, we also buy everything from Otar cognac, the price is from 20 to 240 euros per bottle, depending on V.S.O.P. or X.O.

Next we move to Angouleme. The medieval town, the old part of the city is again located high, high on the mountain. Oh, creeping up! My poor legs are already just humming with fatigue! The beautiful old cathedral of St. Andrew, a modern theater, parks, squares, completely tiny and narrow streets. It seems that the city is sleeping, there are almost no tourists. And then a very beautiful and ancient castle, now it is the mayor's office of the city of Angouleme, around a funky square with bright flowers and there is a monument to Margarita of Angouleme, the most educated woman of her time, by the way, the sister of Francis the First. In our free time, we sit right in the restaurant near the Hotel de Ville (City Hall) and, while drinking a fragrant coffee, we meditate, i.e. transported to the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Then we move to the city of Saint Emilion. It was because of him that we chose this tour. Here are the best vineyards in France, it is here, and not in Bordeaux. For information: in Moscow restaurants, a bottle of high-quality collection wine from the Saint Emilion region comes at a price of 5 to 10 thousand rubles apiece. The town is also very old, high up on the hill of the cathedral, and on its chapel there is a clock with such a melodic battle that you unwittingly hear it, and the spire of the chapel soars high up into the sky. Wine shops are apparently invisible. And in any offer a free tasting. I’m buying a single bottle, but ... for 155 euros. Oh, and my husband will drive me out of the house for SUCH a present !!! Next we drive to Arcachon, which is famous for its sandy beaches and oyster plantations. The beaches are really sandy, though not equipped. But a lot of restaurants with seafood. Well, how to deny yourself this? That's how our purely excursion tour develops into a gastronomic one as well. We order on a huge plate of seafood, only 24 euros, well, and more wine! The city has a huge dune, its height is 115 meters, the impression that you are in the desert. But the town is very nice, a real resort and around the pine trees!

I liked Mr. Sarly la Caneda (very old), and we still ended up at the festive Saturday fair, where local farmers bring their products: great cheeses, smoked meats, fish, seafood and foie gras (goose liver paste). The province of Perigot is famous for this particular product. I really, really liked it here. Very old houses, but a modern, boiling rhythm of life! Then there was the tiny Arles, where Van Gogh lived and worked. Further our path lies in the city of Rocamadour. On a steep cliff, high and high is the Abbey of Rocamadour. When I heard that we were going to go there, I almost lost my feelings. “Again legs? !!” - the phrase directed to the guide burst out involuntarily from me. It turned out to be simpler, we were brought to the very top by bus, and from there, gradually down, along the serpentine paths, we went down to the town itself. The abbey is very old, it belongs to the XI century, but everything is very beautiful, measured and calm.

And then Toulouse. Very big city. A mixture of antiquity and modernity, an abundance of squares, parks and fountains. And a lot of Muslims, blacks and homeless people. While we were relaxing in the Hotel Mercur in the very center of the city, it was in Toulouse that we tried to rob our bus at night. They dropped a window near the driver’s seat and got inside, but stolen little, some teenagers seemed to climb in some sweets and cookies. But the Languedoc province has always been considered very, very rich. Remember Geoffrey de Peirac, the Earl of Toulouse, who was richer than the king himself, from "Angelica - Marquise of the Angels" Ann and Serge Gollon? Apparently, now Toulouse is not so rich ...

And then Marseille with its famous islands (If and Friul Castle). In Marseilles, we ate the famous Buyouabes soup. A plate for 38 euros, but nothing special, fish soup made from mashed lentils and fish, however, cooked according to a special, secret and lengthy recipe. But most of all I didn’t like that the French language in Marseille is the second, the first is Arabic. A lot of Muslim population. In vain did Charles de Gaulle let them into France in such a clique. And, finally, the most famous cathedral, “Notre Dame de la Gar”, on top of which stands the Golden Virgin, stretching her arms to the sea and guarding the peace of the inhabitants of Marseille. We ourselves, on a pleasure boat, go first to If Island (remember Count Monte Cristo?), And then to Friul Island. All this is close, close to Marseille. Honestly, I thought I would see in Marseilles drunk stray sailors in an embrace with whores. This is a huge port. But I didn’t see anything like that. And then again and again to Nice, to our 4-star hotel "Exceller".

From Nice we went to the Principality of Monaco, beautifully and respectably. Solid Rolls-Royces, Lambardzhini and Porsche. The wonderful gardens of Albert the First and the princely palace itself. Everyone is allowed into it now. And then in Monte Carlo, which is part of the city of Monaco. We visited the famous casino. Named entrance ticket, issued only with a passport and it costs 10 euros. They do not give pictures there, but it's a pity. Just a chic palace with stucco molding and huge crystal chandeliers. Yes ... I don’t be a lady. And although by Moscow standards I have everything in order with money, but it was there that I felt and realized how much I am a beggar! And HOW I am far from this world. However, this did not upset me. I didn’t play in the casino, I just don’t know how, I was “rooting” for our men! And now, as a whole, a little about the French: they eat a huge amount of bread and croissants, while remaining not just subtle, but as dry as roach. In Nice, there are a lot of expensive branded clothing stores; a friend bought a blouse for her student daughter for 270 euros in the Sonya Riquel store in Parady Street. Do not go to this street. The most expensive stores, the prices of which are incredibly "off scale". Sizes of fashionable clothes, mainly from 1 to 3 sizes, i.e. from the 40th to the 46th. And on the pedestrian street of Massena the best restaurants. We especially liked the restaurant "Le Mirador", there are really good seafood and pickled mussels, served right in the shells! In general, I really liked the measured way of life of the French. They are never in a hurry at all, they enjoy and enjoy life in full. Everything is obsessed with your body. In the mornings, a run, a bicycle or rollers, and then aromatic coffee with a pile of croissants and a morning newspaper, are required. They are actively struggling with smoking, in restaurants they don’t even give ashtrays, but they put them on the street, on open verandas. And they themselves smoke very, very much! A trip cost 15 days for almost 2 thousand euros (price for August 2008), I squandered there even more than 2.5 thousand euros. All in the amount of more than 4.5 thousand euros. But she was incredibly pleased. I plunged into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages, breathed in the real scent of France, heartily talked with the French, learned a lot of new things, and a little bit bought up and sunbathed. Yes, the tour was very difficult, but since I survived, it means that it is accessible to everyone. I highly recommend this tour to lovers and deep connoisseurs of France.

Finally, I’ll post pictures from this year’s summer trip - “A Great Journey Through the Southern Province of France” with DSBW. Itinerary: Nice - Avignon - Pont du Gard - Nimes - Carcassonne - Bordeaux - Cognac - Angouleme - Sarlat la Caneda - Rocamadour - Toulouse - Arles - Marseille - and another 4 days of relaxation in Nice. The tour is very interesting and beautiful, especially if you are interested in Roman architecture. Personally, I am more interested in the Black Virgin Mary - so for me this tour was also quite eventful and informative, although in some cities (I drove from Moscow a list where I can see the Black Madonnas on the route) they had to be searched, but in some places it was not without little adventures.

The main minus is that we were in the worst time, the end of July - the beginning of August. To whom it was, and by the middle of the tour I was just feeling bad from the heat (although the whole day of walking at my pleasure in Bordeaux somewhat corrected the situation). If interested, I can talk about the organizer and the guide.

And the pros ... what can I say about them, they are all in the photographs.

Nice Market

Panorama

Avignon. The square in front of the Papal Palace.

There was a theater festival in Avignon at that time, and throughout the central part, the artists gave their small performances

View of the Saint-Beneze bridge (pont d "Avignon from the song that every Frenchman claims to know; in fact, even the motif is familiar to me)

Pont du Gard - a stunning monument of Roman architecture ...

And a little memory of our tourist ancestors (pay attention to the date in this "Vasya was here")

Gallery on the first level of the bridge. Here, it seems to me, the scale and power of the structure are very well felt ...

Roman Arena in Nimes (1st half of the 1st century AD)

She's inside. The whole amphitheater can be bypassed on top, although the physical conditions are needed appropriate - you constantly have to climb rather big days up and down. But it's worth it!

And this is just my personal very strong impression. Something like a stone mound, and among the stones ... faces. What does it mean - I do not know

  Bordeaux, St. Andrew's Cathedral

Local entertainment is the fountain on the Garonne embankment. It's just that the area covered with a thin - barely covers the feet - with a layer of water. Personally, I took off my shoes and frolic. The locals obviously have the same fun.

Of course, and here it was not without Roman ruins ...

Triumphal Arch

And this is a statue in front of the building of the medical faculty. Students clearly celebrated graduation ...

Sardia la Caneda. Foie gras production center, by the way! Therefore, geese here - honor and respect

In general, this is a real medieval city with very narrow and very curved streets, in which it is no wonder to get lost

And this is Rocamadour - a large European pilgrimage center, part of the Way of Santiago.

This is a castle and three churches, partially built on a small platform on a rock, partially - carved directly in this rock.

From the churches up to the castle, there is a winding road symbolizing the way of the Cross of Christ; once the pilgrims passed him on their knees. And in one of the churches is stored one of the Black Virgin

  (sorry for the quality)
Toulouse The city is pink! Once upon a time it was possible to build here only from brick; and now a house of any material will certainly be painted or at least trimmed with red or pink

Capitolium

Arles. There is a Roman amphitheater here, but in some places it has been restored in our time

And here Van Gogh was once treated

  Marseilles.

Top of the magnificent cathedral, the city blesses Notre Dame de la Garde

And in the cathedral itself is a wonderful silver statue of the Virgin

In the group of islands, the middle (and the smallest) is the same island on which If Castle is located. Unfortunately, we did not hit him

And here’s the castle closer (you can see Notre Dame de la Garde behind it)

Cathedral of A Major

We traveled to Grass on our own while we lived 4 days in Nice. A small cozy town, although crawling up to it from the station (quite high uphill) is not so simple. There are also elegant streets ...

And such, where Jean-Baptiste Grenouil, apparently, and kept watch over his victims

And this is a panorama of Cannes - we stopped on the road from Grasse

And this is Monaco - Monte Carlo - another of our independent travels.

It’s a pity that you can’t take pictures in the prince’s palace, although everything is clear - the palace is residential, and, standing in the gallery of the courtyard, you don’t know - what if the prince personally watches you from the window of his wing? If you are, be sure to go on an excursion! They give out headphones, there is an excursion in Russian (and very good Russian), and I highly recommend that you look at the palace itself. And they also visited the exhibition dedicated to Princess Grazia Patricia - actress Grace Kelly. How locals love their princely family! The British love their queen too, but they tease her and scold her ... And here is such touching love ...

Princely palace

"Changing the Page Guard"

A piece of the Formula 1 track

And in the city there are such racing cars

Famous Casino

A small educational program: Black Virgin (Black Madonnas, Black Virgins, Vierges Noires) - these are statues of the Virgin, made of black / dark material or painted black. Madonna was revered at all times, and why her images were made black, no one knows. I rummaged through a lot of things (although, unfortunately, I was able to read only articles written in Russian and English), as a result I discovered: the researchers are serious enough cautiously, with the clauses “probably that can be”, they say that these are probably remnants of the Celtic cults - converts Catholics so tried to cross their old beliefs and gods with a new religion; This is the most common version. The "possessors" (Eco defined them very well) say about the same thing, but categorically (somewhere I even met the theory that some of these statues are former statues of Isis and Osiris). Perhaps there is some truth to this - some of the statues are very far from traditional Catholic images and more reminiscent of statues from Easter Island.

So here. Notre-Dame de Rocamadour I posted above. Here it is closer - it’s an ordinary postcard, I took a photo on the Internet

12th century, possibly - 9. One of the few surviving so old originals - most often I personally met either copies or simply newer statues.

This is Notre-Dame de la Daurade in Toulouse.

It is 1806, made instead of a statue destroyed during the revolution, but it is very different from the original. She is considered the patroness of expectant mothers.

According to my list, there should have been another statue in Toulouse, but some misunderstandings arose with it. I was looking for Notre-Dame du Palais - a statue of dark stone, was now supposed to be on the Jesuit Church. We found this church in the middle of the night ... This statue is located there:

In principle, everything is right - a stone, not that light.

And then on a tour found this one:

It is located above the entrance to the church of Notre-Dame du Taur and also fits the description in all respects (to be honest, quite scarce)). In short, I'm still at a loss. Until my hands reach, contact the author of the list where I got the information from and consult.

Another statue was in Arles, but we, unfortunately, did not see it - there was not much time in the city, according to the program it was in the evening, and the church, which I suspected that the Black Virgin was there))) was closed.

But we found the Black Virgin in Marseille - Notre-Dame de la Confession

She is in the basilica of the abbey of Saint Victor, tree, 13th century.

And finally, the same statues from the Chartres Cathedral:

Notre-dame de sous-terre

Notre-dame du pilier

(photo stole on the official website of the cathedral)
