Federal highway M51, M53, M55 “Baikal. Highway Siberia P255 (М53) Highway М53 map

As a result, a huge traffic jam arose in the area of the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye. A few days later, after the intervention of the Ministry of Transport, local road services carried out repairs. However, the state of the track still raises concerns.

"Chekhov traveled from Tomsk to Irkutsk for two weeks through Mariinsk, Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kansk. He drove over 2,000 miles along a terrible road, rinsed in the mud, stayed at the stations for 10-15 hours due to breakdowns of his carriage, walked many miles on foot ".

120 years after Anton Pavlovich Chekhov visited these places, in terms of roads, it seems that nothing has changed here. Hundreds of trucks loaded to the top with goods from all over the world turned into a single automobile clot. Selection mat in truck cabins, offices of high officials and the first issue of all TV news. As often happens, the road disappeared suddenly. The lower Ingash section of the M-53 highway became the site of the loss of dozens of vehicles and hundreds of tons of cargo.

"For three days the cars were dragging, punching pallets. You see what cobblestones were lying around, tore off the batteries. And yesterday the guys got up because it was impossible to go and blocked the road. Only after that they drove the road workers and sprinkled them all night," says truck driver Alexander Zdeshnev.

Even these Mongolian horses, who have spent several days standing in the van, look absolutely worn out. People spent four days in unsanitary conditions, without food and water. Burning fuel to heat their cars, truckers queued up behind a tracked tractor. This tractor was the only salvation from the mud captivity.

- Come on, drag it to the end! It still won't work there.

What is going on with the federal highway M-53? A one-time injury or another relapse of a chronic disease that has become public only now. We decided to look at the road with our own eyes, as well as through the eyes of those who drive on it, who live on it and are responsible for it.

The first 300 kilometers of the journey from Krasnoyarsk to Nizhny Ingash, the first acquaintance with the M-53 "Baikal" highway could already be enough for a volume of memories or a good lock of gray hair. We had to constantly check our path on the map, refusing to believe that we were continuing to move along the federal road.

- Here is the M-53 sign! What?! Is this a federal highway?

- Does not look like!

On the fifth day, the road services restored traffic on the highway both towards Irkutsk and towards Krasnoyarsk. Let it be slow, even with the risk of breaking an axle or losing a wheel, but.

It was these 300 meters of track that caused a colossal traffic jam on the M-53 highway. The fact that the traffic has now been restored is the merit, rather not of road services, but of the weather. The ten-degree frosts, which were established in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, bound the swamps. The only thing left for the builders was to lay the slabs and fill the holes. But, even now, this one barely resembles the roadway, and even more so, the federal highway.

It is rather not even the repair of the emergency section, but the restoration of traffic in any way. The road workers laid the concrete slabs right into the swamp. And it seems that from this moment the countdown began for this segment of the path. According to the road workers, this is the so-called "temporary house". They say it will last until spring, and then a big reconstruction is not far off.

"Attention has been drawn to this section of the road. And we have started its reconstruction. Probably, this should have been done earlier, while the canvas was still holding. And this year, according to the contract, 200 million rubles were allocated. And this is not the final figure," says the general director of LLC "Road-building company" Nikolay Yung.

Experienced drivers are well aware of all the insidiousness of this road. Having overcome, it seemed, the most difficult section of the path, the cars crash out of the blue. Just fifty kilometers from the sensational failure of the road, just a few hours later, Baikal presents another unpleasant surprise. Bonfires by the road. Keeping warm, the drivers burn what they were carrying. Today the road is over for them. Pouring one hundred grams for warming, they remember their professional holiday.

- Thus we celebrate the driver's day. We bought sheep from a car company, traffic cops, bosses. And they call me in the morning: your car is in a ditch.

- Note!

Dmitry says that for ten years now, riding the M-53 every time resembles a game of "Russian roulette". He calls the section of the road from Ingash to Reshet, about 60 kilometers, a terrible road. And he thanks God that this time everything was done without sacrifices.

"Here is a sharp turn. A car jumped out to meet him. He had nothing left: he pressed on the brakes and he skidded and fell into a ditch. Fortunately, he didn’t crumple much, but the car doesn’t have a marketable appearance. Thank God that the driver remained alive." - says the driver Dmitry Kutsko.

On this slope, two cars descended into the ditch at once. Sometimes a whole day passes while waiting for help. This Volvo is still slowly sliding off the road. It's cold outside - it's dangerous in a car.

“It’s scary to approach, it can fall there. I’m afraid to climb into the cab, because the car can go at any time. The rear wheels have already come off. The ground is damp, there is a swamp from below, it is sinking. Maybe it will fall tonight, maybe tomorrow morning. Staggering. It's a pity for the car! We get money, for everything ", - says the driver Sergei Bagritsov.

The road is slippery like a skating rink; even studded tires do not save here. Numerous potholes, up to 20-30 centimeters deep, are simply not visible on the night road. As a result, the car of our film crew flies into a ditch. And only by a miracle the car hangs on the very edge of the road.

- Route M-53 and we are here too!

In such cases, there is little hope for rescuers. The nearest villages are about 30 kilometers away. We were lucky, this time the road sand spreader passed on time. And also truckers. Our "Niva" was literally pulled out by hand.

- Get the car out!

Our colleagues were much less fortunate. Just a few hours after our departure to the side of the road, a car, where the film crew of the Rossiya TV channel was driving, got into a serious accident. This was the first acquaintance of our colleagues with the track.

“We were driving on the instructions of the editors, filming a film about the track, about its problems. We kept the speed at about 70 kilometers per hour, because we knew that there were dangerous sections and ice on this track. Then something unexpected happened. and we abruptly drove into a ditch. We turned over several times, the car hit a tree, and now, in fact, in this state, "- explains the correspondent of the TV channel" Russia "Dmitry Kaistro.

You can feel all the beauty of the M-53 highway without leaving your home. The village of Upper Ingash. Huge wagons sweep just three meters from residential buildings. Sometimes old log cabins are used for emergency braking. For example, like this heavy cargo. Baba Valya was just preparing food in a small kitchen.

"I can hear here how it bummed, how it boomed! How scared I was. And all at me, the bulkhead. Okay, not on my head, but on my hand. I was scared, I don't know where to run. I crawled out into the street. Open the gate, but I can't. I shout: sentry! Help! But no one is there. Everything is there, "says Valentina Goncharova, a resident of the village of Verkhny Ingash.

Residents of numerous villages through which the highway passes are afraid to cross the road. Having escaped onto a decent piece of road, the tractors are trying, overtaking each other, to make up for lost time. Dilapidated houses can hardly stand.

"There is a lot of noise, the cars are coming, we can't cross the old road. We walk with a stick. And we are afraid, these cars are coming now. We didn’t walk like that before. Well, where they will deny it this road, no where will they deny it," says Nadezhda, a resident of the village of Verkhny Ingash Luzan.

The local traffic police seem to have got used to frequent accidents. This is a familiar thing on the way from Krasnoyarsk to Irkutsk.

"People get tired when driving on a bad road. Because of this, all these exits occur. From the fatigue of drivers and the fact that they are driving for a long time. There is practically no control over this," - says the head of the traffic police department for Nizhneingashsky district Dmitry Trifonov.

From the expressions on the faces of the truckers passing by, it becomes clear that such incidents on this road are rather a sad pattern. The reconstructed sections with quite decent coverage are abruptly replaced by kilometers practically unsuitable for driving.

The sections of the path where the M-53 highway turns into a direction are well known to drivers. Anyway, there shouldn't be any heavy Volvo, Scania or Kenward. Built several decades ago, in Soviet times, this road was designed for completely different machines, the heaviest of which was the ZIL-130, well, the maximum "KAMAZ".

It is the heavy trucks, according to the road builders, who turned the track into a continuous mess. The director of the road construction company, Nikolai Jung, says that the vehicles are heavily overloaded, the asphalt pavement simply cannot withstand such loads.

"When you stop a driver and ask: how much is loaded? He shows 20 tons according to the documents and the load is not the same as his loaded one. But we see how the canvas behaves. You can't fool us. Our 26-ton dump trucks are passing by. , nothing happens. A truck is going, it cuts right there. They have single-sided tires in the rear, "explains Nikolai Jung.

The driver of this wrecked truck says that in principle it is not possible. Truckers are paid only for the cargo specified in the documents. There is no other income. Yes, in principle, it is impossible to drag a load weighing 60 tons off-road.

- In Russia you can't go anywhere with such a load.

Such mutual accusations of road workers and drivers have been going on for a long time. Transport collapses on the M-53 happen several times a year, when the obstinate Siberian weather shows its character. And that could be the simplest excuse. But to the credit of the Krasnoyarsk road workers, we still received an answer to the directly posed question: who is to blame?

“I am responsible for the entire federal administration of Baikal roads. I am the leader, and therefore I must be responsible. I don’t see anyone else in this case. We are responsible for the condition of the road,” explains Konstantin Lyashkevich, head of the federal administration of Baikal federal roads.

The road builders inherited this route from the Soviet Union with all the ensuing problems. There is money for repairs. 600 million rubles have been allocated for the 60-kilometer section. This money will only be enough to patch up the road. There is no talk of building a modern pavement.

"We do not harbor illusions. We also understand that no one will develop global construction projects here. Those sites that can be brought back to normal with the help of repairs. If reconstruction is needed somewhere, like on this site, then we will make a decision on reconstruction ", - says Konstantin Lyashkevich.

In the meantime, in the lowlands, where it is not sprinkled, like on a skating rink. It is absolutely impossible to go. Everything is the same as 120 years ago, when Anton Pavlovich Chekhov got stuck between Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk. Some solid directions.

Main positions in the direction from Novosibirsk to Irkutsk

 • A traffic police post near the village of Sadovy on the outskirts of Novosibirsk. Very good position - 40 km / h limit, lighting, wide shoulder. It makes sense to select a car to Tomsk / Kemerovo or even further!
 • Interchange at the turn to Barlaksky. No positions! Everywhere there is a high bump stop, also with a gutter for water / mud drain along the edge of the roadway. The speed of the car is great! After 500 meters behind the junction there is a bus stop, you can try to vote in its acceleration lane.
 • Turn to Sokur. There are also no positions. Also a bump stop and after 300 meters there is a bus stop with a lane for regular transport.
 • Bypass Moshkovo. After 300 meters from the lapel, there is a slow railway crossing with lanterns to the city. It makes sense to walk to it.
 • Closed traffic police post near Bolotnoye. 126 km from Novosibirsk. If you have left Novosibirsk "on the local", then it makes sense to "put down roots" already here. The shoulder is wide, there are lights, there is no speed limit.
 • Turn to Tomsk. There are no lanterns. We vote near the entrance stele "Kemerovo Region". High-speed place. The post is 8 km away. you can drive up to the locale.
 • The traffic police post at the turn to Yurga. Limit 50 km / h. We pass behind the post, where the bump stop ends, and we get up at the exit from the impound parking lot, in front of the last lantern. It makes no sense to agree closer to Kemerovo, but it is better to fish at least to Krasnoyarsk.
 • Topkinskaya roundabout (226 km). Beginning of the bypass Kemerovo. There are no lanterns. There is a sign "give way to those who are on the circle." If your car is going to Leninsk-Kuznetsky, it makes sense to drive with it to the end of this "South bypass" to Sukho-Rechenskaya junction and there to catch the checkpoint through the city. If your car turns into Kemerovo, you can drive it to the center and get out of the city to Krasnoyarsk by public transport.
 • DPS post "Rudnichny" on the outskirts of Kemerovo. We vote at the Lukoil gas station immediately behind the post. It makes sense to select a car to Mariinsk or Achinsk.
 • After 13 km from Kemerovo - a fork to Anzhero-Sudzhinsk. Wide shoulder, there are lights, no bump stop.
 • Not reaching 20 km to Mariinsk, there will be a turn to the village of Verkhnyaya-Chebula. There is a position when moving towards Mariinsk, there is a slight rise. There is no lighting. When moving in the opposite direction - no position
 • Mariinsk is 178 km from Kemerovo. One of the most "mean" cities in Russia for hitchhikers. There is no bypass, the route winds around the city. In the city itself there is a distillery, correctional institutions. The population either drives alcohol, or sits, or protects. For these reasons, we do not recommend getting into the city. If the car ends its journey in Mariinsk, then it is better to get out of it in advance, for example, near the memorial to the victims of Siblag and select the checkpoint. There are no traffic police posts at the entrance and exit either. The first village in the direction of Krasnoyarsk is Pier 2. There is a bus from the Mariinsk bus station to this village, here is the timetable.
 • Behind the village of Suslovo there is a railway crossing through the Trans-Siberian. Equipped with automatic barriers and an attendant's booth. There is one lantern on each side of the crossing. Compared to the Mariinsky, this can be considered a "good position".
 • Large two-story traffic police post outside Bogotol. Already the Krasnoyarskiy region. We vote at the last lantern, where the bump stop ends. We are catching the checkpoint to Krasnoyarsk, we do not agree to Achinsk!
 • Achinsk also does not have a bypass. The track winds along the southern outskirts of the city, among all kinds of industrial zones and dumb fences. If, nevertheless, you did not catch the checkpoint in advance, then you yourself are to blame. Read the article about departures from Achinsk.
 • New roundabout at the turn to Abakan. Around the taiga! There are no lanterns, but the roadside is wide.
 • We pass Krasnoyarsk along the northern bypass. The roundabout beyond Emelyanovo is covered with bump stops. You can vote only at the beginning of it, at the blue sign to Irkutsk. The junction with the Yenisei tract is also all in bumpers, but you can vote on the acceleration lane at the end of it, near the asphalt plant.
 • Turn to Minusinsk. Right behind the junction there is a large parking lot for truckers, with cafes, a motel, tire changers and other things. Disaster medicine item. At the end of it all - a gas station with lanterns.
 • Turn to Aginskoe. Roundabout. There are no lanterns or posts. After 300 meters, there is a small gas station on the side of the road and there are four lanterns on it.
 • The large city of Kansk is 247 km from Krasnoyarsk. Another "dastardly city" for hitchhikers. There is no bypass, zones, military units and reinforcing factories ... The route winds through the entire center and extended industrial zones ... We recommend that you take a pass car in advance or get out by public transport, see the description of Kansk. [The southern bypass of Kansk is currently under construction. They promise to build it by 2020. ]
 • A traffic police post at the turn to Biryusa, in front of Taishet. Border of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region. If the car goes to Taishet, it is UNIFORMAL to go out at the checkpoint and catch the car to Irkutsk It makes no sense to go to the turn itself, we vote at the last lantern right after the post.
 • Turn to Taishet. High-speed seat with bumpers! It is better not to get here! Around the "zone" and "colony-settlement" ...
 • Alzamai we pass along the bypass.
 • Nizhneudinsk. Another "criminal center of Russia" without a bypass road. Better not to hit! Industrial zones, slag accumulators, secret bases, military training grounds, fences with towers and so on stretch along the highway for a dozen kilometers ... At the very exit from the city there is a gas station with two lamps.
 • Tulun (390 km. To Irkutsk) is the "sidekick" of its neighbor Nizhneudinsk. Again, no bypass! Again zones, warehouses, towers, a creamery, a glass factory, a coal warehouse, a hydrolysis plant, a closed mine ... Unlike the previous "criminal cities" in Tulun there is also a turn to Bratsk in the center of it all! And a considerable% of cars turn there. At the roundabout, among the fences and garbage dumps, there are lights only on the circle itself, but the roads leaving the circle are dark and dumb even in the daytime. And next to it there are also five-story buildings with gopniks ... In general, you understand already? If you don't want to walk along Gidroliznaya Street past the flooded coal mines, leave the car that turns to Bratsk (or goes to Tulun itself) 10 kilometers to the city and catch the checkpoint.
 • If in front of Tulun there is a through car through the city, but not to Irkutsk, then you can get out of it 25 after Tulun, at the railway crossing through the Transsib in front of the Sheragul village. There are lanterns, but the roadside is narrow. However, the car can be stopped!
 • Another slow railway crossing in front of Tulyushka station. The name is associated with the Buryat "tulikha" - "to suffer". So, if you don't want to suffer from voting in numerous villages, it is high time to catch a direct car to Irkutsk! However, there are lanterns at the "Tulyushkinsky" ("painful") crossing, and immediately after the crossing there is a wide comfortable roadside.
 • Interchange with a turn to Sayansk. 266 km to Irkutsk. There are no bump stops and lanterns. High-speed section of the track - two lanes in each direction.
 • Huge interchange near Zalari station. Turn to Zhigalovo. Irkutsk is exactly 200 km away. There are no lanterns and chippers at the junction. There is a speed limit of "50", but who observes it there ?!
 • PGT Kutulik. Bypass.
 • Roundabout with the Cheremkhovo-Golumet highway. 140 km to Irkutsk. What is called "in the open field" - no lanterns, no bump stop.
 • The industrial city of Usolye-Sibirskoye. Again without a bypass. The track goes straight through the center, sandwiched between the Transsib and the Angara. There should be buses to Angarsk. Find out - let us know!
 • Angarsk bypass. Electric trains run to Irkutsk (except for buses and minibuses). If traffic jams are expected at the entrance to Irkutsk (for example, in the open in the evening), then look at the schedule, it may be faster to go around them on a commuter train.
 • If you don't need to go to Irkutsk itself, then we turn with the trucks to the Western bypass. The whole junction is in bumpers. Lanterns end behind the bridge across the river. Veresovka, the "acceleration strip" ends there, and we vote behind this bridge.

Then we look at the track P258 "Baikal" (former M55 )

Federal highway M51, M53, M55 "Baikal" - a federal highway. Part of the Asian route AH6... Part of the road from Chelyabinsk to Omsk also belongs to the European route E30... Part of the M51 road passes through the territory of Kazakhstan, which can be bypassed by the Ishim bypass.

M51 Chelyabinsk - Kurgan - Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan) - Omsk - Novosibirsk... The length is 1528 km. Then the road turns into the M-53 highway Novosibirsk - Irkutsk.

The road passes through the territory of the Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Omsk and Novosibirsk regions (part of the road (190 km) through the territory of Kazakhstan).
The road along the entire length has an asphalt concrete surface with a carriageway width of 7-8 meters.

Information from 05/22/2015: - “Sometimes, first along the Kurgan, and then across the Tyumen regions, the road was no longer like a highway, but a testing ground for KamAZ trucks: frequent holes, pits, irregularities, but how you turn from Berdyuzhy to Ishim, the real "autobahn" begins. The entire 80 km segment is of ideal two-lane quality. So I officially declare: the problem area Berdyuzhye-Ishim no longer exists. " -

M53 - - - - . The length is 1860 km.
The road starts in Novosibirsk, leaving in the northern direction, to the city of Tomsk. Without going into Tomsk - for this there is a separate entrance, also called "M-53" - the "Baikal" highway without any problems reaches the city of Kemerovo, the center of the Kemerovo region.

Further, the road continues towards the city of Krasnoyarsk, passing through the cities of Mariinsk, Kemerovo region and Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk region.
The Kemerovo - Mariinsk section begins with a serpentine road among the Mariinsky taiga, then the road is leveled, and the second half runs smoothly and calmly.
The Mariinsk - Achinsk section is also exhaustingly calm, which again requires constant attention. Approximately in the middle is the Bogotol traffic police post, a complex of cafes and motels. In Achinsk, in addition to the continuation of the M-53 motorway towards Krasnoyarsk, the motorway begins in the southern direction - to Khakassia, which leads to the M-54 motorway.
The section Achinsk - Krasnoyarsk is livelier than the previous ones - you can feel the approach of a big city. From the village of Kozulka (the regional center), the road expands, the quality of the road surface improves markedly. Not far from Krasnoyarsk, at a roundabout, the first turn to the right goes towards the M-54 “Yenisei” highway Krasnoyarsk - Kyzyl. The next exit from the intersection is to Krasnoyarsk.
The M-53 highway runs along the northern edge of Krasnoyarsk and goes further east in the direction of Irkutsk.

M55 Irkutsk - Ulan-Ude - Chita... The length is 1113 km.
The road starts in Irkutsk, leaving in the southern direction. Soon the city of Shelekhov appears, and after a while the road begins to climb the mountain like a serpentine. From the highest point a magnificent (in good weather) view of Lake Baikal and the village of Kultuk on the shore opens. Here, there are rows of smoked fish and souvenirs, nearby, just above the road, there is a cafe with glass walls.

The road passes through the territory of the Irkutsk and Chita regions, Buryatia.
Most of the road has an asphalt concrete surface with a carriageway width of 7m (there are sections with cement concrete and crushed stone).

Highway M 58 "Amur"

Kilometers of the M-58 “Amur” highway are picturesque landscapes of the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Amur and Jewish Autonomous Regions and the Khabarovsk Territory. The road stretches from Lake Baikal to the Pacific Ocean and is part of the global transport corridor Paris - Berlin - Warsaw - Moscow - Vladivostok with access to Asian countries.

The crew of the information portal "DorInfo" as part of the Atlas of Federal Highways motor rally assessed the state of the M-53 (R-255) "Baikal" highway on the Krasnoyarsk - Kemerovo section. Of all that had to be traveled during the rally from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, this segment in terms of quality can be called one of the best sections of the route.

The length of the section of the federal highway M-53 "Baikal" from Krasnoyarsk to Kemerovo is about 518 kilometers. The condition of the road here allows you to drive almost all the time at a speed of 100 km / h. Fans of fast driving accelerate faster here. Potholes, bumps, cracks are a rare occurrence on this road. There is a short, but incredibly broken section in the area of the city of Achinsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory).
Recall that there is also an emergency overpass through the railway tracks, about which. The city authorities announced that the overpass will be repaired this summer. However, on August 2, the DorInfo crew did not notice the road equipment and workers on the overpass and near it. At the same time, the condition of the object, even in the eyes of a layman, raises concerns - there are holes in the canvas, and the expansion joints seem to be too worn out. A small section, no more than 20 km, with irregularities is immediately available at the entrance to the Kemerovo region (km 557), but it is overcome without any particular difficulty. There are no soil breaks on the track now.

On the territory of Kuzbass, several sections came across, which were indicated by information stands of Rosavtodor, reporting on the repair. Here, at km 343-362, km 321 - 328, new asphalt has already been laid, but there are no markings yet. At night, and even in a downpour, it was rather dangerous and difficult to drive here. During the day, there were no special problems. By the way, the traffic on the Krasnoyarsk - Kemerovo highway is moderate, slightly above average (and much higher than on the R-258 "Amur" Chita - Khabarovsk highway). There is almost always an opportunity to overtake.

The only section where the repair of an artificial structure - the bridge over the Barzas River - is underway - is the 323rd kilometer. Reverse movement with traffic light regulation is organized here. However, traffic jams, as in the Sim pass, do not arise here.

An extended four-lane section (with "breaks" for a "two-lane") on this section of the federal highway is available only at the exit from Krasnoyarsk to about 720 km and in front of Achinsk (671-684 km). Moreover, at the exit from Krasnoyarsk, the oncoming streams are divided by a rather wide dividing strip or a metal barrier fence. In other sections, the track is two-lane. Already not far from Kemerovo (about 70 kilometers), rather sharp turns begin to come across on the road. At the same time, there are no serious descents and ascents (as in the Irkutsk-Slyudyanka segment along the M-53 highway).

The driver will not experience the lack of cafes and gas stations between Krasnoyarsk and Kemerovo. The roadside infrastructure is quite well developed here. There are not so many hotels and motels, probably because the journey from the city on the Yenisei to the capital of Kuzbass takes no more than one day and car owners stop for the night in regional centers.

Gas station on the highway M-53 "Baikal" (Krasnoyarsk - Kemerovo section): km 791, km 777, km 725, km 716, km 713, km 692, km 690, km 670, km 668, km 664, km 652, km 651, km 645, km 626, km 612, km 583, km 563, km 551, km 506, km 481, km 425, km 379, km 370, km 342, km 322, km 300.
