23 reasons not to go to Phan Thiet. The Vietnamese resort of Phan Thiet - is it worth going there to relax? The road from Nha Trang to Mui Ne on the map

Vietnam has long been a resort country. Here, almost the entire population of the country works for the benefit of tourism. And tourists often choose Vietnam, and not some other country. Tourists especially like the resort called Phan Thiet, where everything is very beautiful and beautiful. In this article, we will focus specifically on the resort of Phan Thiet Vietnam. You will find out when it is better to relax in this place, what to take with you and other reviews of tourists. We look and rest properly.

As we have already said, Phan Thiet is very popular resort among tourists. Couples come here. Here they rest with children and young and active people rush here. And they all know why they go - for the rest, but each for his own.

In Phan Thiet, the high season lasts from autumn to spring, just like throughout Southeast Asia. But everything is not so simple here, there are some nuances here.
The high season starts from November and lasts until April. At this time of the year the weather is hot and there is no rain. But there is a wind, and even a strong wind! Therefore, at this time lovers of high waves - surfers rush here.
But beach lovers also have a rest here. Wind and waves are not here every day. It may turn out that one day there will be sunny weather with strong winds and big waves, and tomorrow the sea will be calm, and you can not only sunbathe, but also swim in the calm sea.
From May to October the winds subside. But that doesn't mean it's full of tourists. After all, it is raining at this time. During these months it rains almost every day. There are few sunny days, literally 5-7 per month. But the sea is cool and no one swims.

Weather in Vietnam Phan Thiet for months.
And now let's talk about the weather and water temperature by months in the resort of Phan Thiet. This data will also help you understand when is the best time to fly here on vacation.

January.
During the day, the temperature is warmed up to +30 degrees. The nights are warm and do not fall below +22 degrees. The water in the sea is beautiful and is above +23 degrees. Cloudy and rainy days no more than 7.

February.
In February, the air here cools down a little, but not by much. The average daily temperature is +28 degrees. But the water in the sea becomes warmer by one degree and this is very noticeable for the body, +24 degrees. In February, there is almost no rain, and the winds are not so frequent.

March.
The first spring month immediately gives not just warmth, but heat. The air warms up to +32 degrees, and sometimes even higher. The water in the sea is even warmer than +26 degrees. The air becomes more humid, and it is often stuffy outside, which not everyone can bear.

April.
This month is the end of the high and dry season. The air temperature during the day is +35, and at night +29 degrees. Water +26, and tourists do not come out of it. Towards the end of the month it starts to rain. It often rains every other day from the 20th of April.
In April, a vacation at the resort is the best time. But still there are pitfalls. For example, high temperature! Children will not be able to endure such heat and high humidity. So you will have to go to the beach only in the morning and in the evening, when the sun hides behind the horizon. Plus, a thunderstorm can begin, which, although it passes quickly, but getting under it is not the most pleasant option.

May.
The rainy season starts in May. The sky is covered with clouds and clouds. The rains are not yet so intense, but quite frequent. The air is also warmed up to +35 degrees, and the water is +29. It would seem - just a paradise for relaxation! But the humidity is such that tourists cannot leave the rooms. Sometimes it reaches 82%, which is almost rain.

June.
June is the month of rains. In the first month of summer it rains 98% of the time. So it's better not to come here at this time.

July.
The second month of summer is also rainy. But it differs from June in that in July it rains mostly in the afternoon and until night. And in the morning just cloudy weather. The air temperature is +33 degrees, and the water is +29. But there are no swimmers in the sea, as the rains do not allow this.

August.
The last month of summer brings strong winds, showers and even hurricanes! At this time of the year it is sharply empty. Even the locals do not leave their houses and prefer to sit in their houses and relax.

September.
The beginning of autumn is the beginning of the tourist season in Vietnam. But it is in the resort of Phan Thiet that it still rains. If a travel agency tries to persuade you to fly here in September, don't listen to them. Yes, it is warm here up to +33, and the sea is +29 degrees. But there are only 5-6 sunny days per month, and even then they are after the 15th. You will just sit in a hotel and be sad. If you want to visit Vietnam in September, then it is better to choose Nha Trang, there are only 4-5 rainy days.

October.
And now we can go to the island again! The rains have receded, the sun shines for 8 hours a day and the sea is warm. True, the winds are still blowing, but they will blow the entire solar season, so there is nothing terrible here. The air temperature is +33 degrees, the water is also +29.

November.
This month is ideal for visiting Phan Thiet. The sun shines almost every day, there are few clouds and clouds. The winds subside a little, and you can safely swim in the sea, which is warmed up to +25 degrees. The air temperature also becomes a little cooler +32 degrees. Not infrequently, it drops even lower, but not critically, up to +28.

December.
The last month of the year will please with dry and warm weather. The air will be +32 degrees, and the water will be the same +25. But the winds are getting stronger and can blow for 20 days in a month. But few tourists pay attention to this, because people come here for the sun and to celebrate the new year.

Conclusion.
And so, to summarize everything that is written, let's summarize. The best time to visit Phan Thiet is during the winter months. It's warm here, and warm water, and not so humid. In the spring months, the air is fiery and high humidity, which not everyone can endure. And in the fall, the rains have only receded, and it is possible that they can charge again for several days.

What's in Vietnam and its surroundings can boast of being considered the best resort destination in the country. In fact, this is not the widest coastline, not the most beautiful nature, and the beach area is not the cleanest and azure, but despite all this, the beaches of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are quite popular, especially among Russian-speaking tourists.

The undoubted advantage of the beach areas is the fact that all the beaches available here (the three largest and a few more small and wild ones) are urban, and, therefore, along coastline just behind the sandy strip there is an asphalted wide highway and only behind it are hotels. The first coastline is represented only by inexpensive bungalows off the coast. Such a budget and at the same time excellent accommodation can only boast of.

Fukui island beaches

Climatic conditions of Mui Ne

The beaches of the resort of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are located in the southern part of Vietnam, and therefore a tropical climate prevails here, which means that most of the days of the year are very hot (the air warms up above +26 degrees), the air is dry. In Mui Ne, of course, as in the rest of Vietnam, there is a heavy rainy season (from early May to mid-October), but still there is an order of magnitude less precipitation here than in the central or northern part of the country.

The best time to visit Mui Ne and its beaches is from the beginning of November to the end of April, when precipitation is unlikely, the air warms up to +29 degrees, and the water has a very comfortable temperature for a long stay at sea.

How to get there?

From Moscow and other cities of Russia, the easiest way to get to the beaches of the resort of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne is through, where direct flights are organized from the capital and some major cities of Russia, as well as many countries South-East Asia, Europe and the cities of Vietnam itself.

The distance between Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne is about 225 kilometers. It can be overcome through public buses, private minibuses or by using taxi services. Estimated travel time is 5-6 hours.

Mui Ne resort beaches

There are only three large and famous beaches in Mui Ne: Central City Beach (Bai Rang), Ham Tien and Phu Hai Beach. Central and Ham Tien are essentially one beach area, but due to differences in infrastructure, it is customary to formally divide them into separate beaches. Puhai Beach is separated from the rest not only formally, but also territorially by a stone ridge, which does not allow you to get to the beach along the seashore or along the sandy beach. To get to Puhai Beach, you need to go along the highway.

All beaches are located not in the smallest fishing village of Mui Ne, but between it and resort town Phan Thiet, the distance between which is about 22 kilometers.

Central beach area

The central beach, as is already clear from its very name, is located in the central part of the coastline and stretches for almost 10 kilometers along the sea. Its other name is Mui Ne Beach or Bai Rang. It is on this beach that the infrastructure is most developed among its neighbors and the best accommodation options in hotels and bungalows on the entire coast of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, especially for budget travelers.

bai rang beach

Most of the tourists concentrate to relax by the sea in the western part of Mui Ne Beach, since the coastal sandy zone is the widest there, and there are more infrastructure facilities than in other beach areas of this region. In the same part of the Central Beach, the most wind and kite surfers gather, since it is here that the most big waves if they exist at all, of course.

The eastern part of the beach is much calmer and less crowded, but during high tide, the sandy strip almost completely goes into the sea, leaving almost no place for vacationers to sunbathe.

The central beach (Bai Rang) is considered an exclusively tourist area, created and landscaped purely for the needs and entertainment of tourists. local residents you can only meet on working issues, since they do not live in this part of Vietnam and directly in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet.

Ham Tien beach

Ham Tien Beach is located a little further east of Mui Ne Beach and stretches to the very fishing pier, which is located in the village of Mui Ne fishermen. Ham Tien is ideal for those looking for a calm, quiet rest on the seashore, away from the huge crowds of tourists, closer to local population and their lives. In this part of Mui Ne tourist sites(small hotel complexes, bungalows, bars and restaurants) organically fit among the rickety houses of local residents.

The infrastructure here is not as well developed as on the previous beach. The sandy coastline is deserted in places, and the beach area is not so well-groomed and clean, as fallen leaves, branches, and garbage are not removed here.

Not the best on Ham Tien scenic view on the sea, as everywhere you can see a lot of fishing boats, some of which even look like multi-colored round basins.

Of the advantages of this beach, one can note the proximity to some attractions (Red Dunes and Red Creek), which can be reached even on foot, as well as the presence of the largest market in the area near Ham Tien.

Puhai Beach

Puhai Beach is located to the west of the Central Beach and is separated from it by a rocky area, which completely excludes the possibility of getting to the beach along the sea along the coast.

Puhai Beach is the closest beach to the city of Phan Thiet, where only wealthy tourists prefer to relax. You will not meet local residents (with the exception of service personnel), and among the tourists who rest on this coastline, the vast majority are guests of nearby luxury hotels: Lotus Muine, Takalau, Phu Hai Resort and some others. There is no cheap housing in the area, so budget tourists, if they appear here, only for excursion purposes, i.e. look at the rest of non-poor Europeans and Russians, as well as take a walk around the neighborhood.

You can get to Puhai Beach only from the central asphalt road.

A distinctive feature of this beach is that most of it is assigned to the territory of certain hotels, and therefore the coastline near the sea is constantly cleaned and cleaned.

Cons of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne beaches

Despite the fact that all the beach areas of this part of Vietnam are quite well-groomed, the sand of the coastline is soft and fine, and the entrance to the sea is mostly gentle and comfortable, there are some negative points in this resort that you may encounter on vacation:

  1. Mui Ne and the beaches in the area are not the best place to relax with kids. Despite the fact that the sea and beaches are suitable for kids, they are located along a rather busy route, where there are not even sidewalks. Also at sea, waves are not uncommon, so loved by surfers.
  2. There is almost no nightlife on the beaches. Mui Ne is a resort of one street, along which all the main infrastructure facilities are located. From about 23.00 hours life in the resort freezes until the morning. At night, here you can only occasionally meet tourists walking and having fun on their own.
  3. Mui Ne is not suitable for those who are used to a more active pastime, as just lying on the beach here is very boring, and the sights and interesting places not so much in the area. Most often, you will have to travel far from the resort and choose centralized sightseeing tours.
  4. If you want to take a break from Russian speech and our compatriots in an exotic resort, then Mui Ne is not for you, as Russian is heard from everywhere, and most of the signs are translated into their native language. Often one gets the impression that you are not in Vietnam, but somewhere in Anapa. No wonder Mui Ne and Phan Thiet are called the "Russian" resort.

Phan Thiet (Mui Ne) is a South Vietnamese resort, which is located on the shores of the South China Sea, which is located 200 km from the capital of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The population of the city itself is only 350 thousand people. Very often, when they mention the resort of Phan Thiet Vietnam, they mean Mui Ne. tourist resort Mui Ne is one of the most popular places for holidays in Vietnam, this is not only a resort, but also a cape, and partly a peninsula, and the name of the city. Mui Ne Beach is located 22 km from the city of Phan Thiet and is in fact a small fishing village. resort place are not the cities of Phan Thiet and Mui Ne themselves, but the coastal area between these two cities, the so-called Mui Ne Beach.

Mui Ne has a very funny story. There used to be a small fishing village here. The wind constantly blows from the neighboring desert, so kitesurfers and windsurfers settled in this place 15 years ago. The village is overgrown with hotels and restaurants. And everything was fine and cool youth party of surfers. But then they heard about Mui Ne in Russia, and now hundreds of package tourists go to hotels on the seashore in Mui Ne. The Vietnamese quickly caught the trick, learned a couple of Russian words and now Mui Ne tourist capital Vietnam.
But there is one feature of the Russian people - they do not like national identity and do not want to integrate into the local culture. Instead, they prefer to create their own community of Russian speakers and stick to it. And this attracts even more Russian speakers who want to earn extra money in Asia, serving other Russian tourists. As a result, all foreigners simply go nuts from such places, because they do not understand how “Asian Rus'” appeared in Southeast Asia. This has its own specifics: the citizens of "Asian Rus'" live as visarans and hide their work from the migration service, for many tourist season is a season of increased work load, the rest of the time you can master water sports and diving, get a certificate in order to serve a new batch of Russian tourists as an instructor next season. The crisis in Russia has led to a reduction in the number of people working remotely, but it has also increased the number of those who want to earn in dollars, working as a guide, tour guide, instructor, photographer, etc.

Phan Thiet, he is Mui Ne, as you understand, is very popular among Russian tourists. Restaurants on the coast have a Russian menu, staff in hotels and street shops speak a little Russian, signs in Russian can be seen on the streets, and Russian-language excursions are sold in agencies. In a resort area Mui Ne you can even watch broadcasts of Russian-language films in restaurants. The tourist area is located along the entire Mui Ne Beach and hotels are right on the beach.

Leaving the hotel, you will immediately see a snow-white Mui Ne beach. Beach Phan Thiet Mui Ne is public, each hotel has its own beach area, but it is not fenced, it is not forbidden to relax here in any place you like. On Mui Ne beach developed infrastructure for tourists, however nightlife near Mui Ne Hardly ever. On the beach Mui Ne you can find a huge number of establishments: a local bar street with many cafes, bars, restaurants and massage parlors, and a little Mui Ne beach, you can visit natural, historical and cultural attractions. On the beach Mui Ne there is everything for surfers and others aquatic species sports, and for lovers of sports on land, there is, for example, a golf course. Phan Thiet Mui Ne photo:

Attractions of Mui Ne on the map

What to visit in Vietnam Mui Ne? Phan Thiet, aka Mui Ne, attracts surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers from all over the world. The resorts of Phan Thiet-Muine are considered, in comparison with others in Asia, very attractive for sports, and some consider them the best. The most popular, famous and promoted resort in Vietnam is Nha Trang, while Phan Thiet is quite a bit inferior to it. Many tourists face a difficult choice: what to choose, Nha Trang or Mui Ne Phan Thiet, while the first is more interesting for lovers of nightlife and entertainment than the second. Nha Trang is big city, in which hotels are located right within the city on the beach area, in Phan Thiet Mui Ne, the beach is located at some distance from the big city, which, of course, is a big plus. In Phan Thiet more tourists and more young people who come here in search of best place for surfing. Nha Trang is a city of resorts, and Phan Thiet, on the contrary, is a resort on the seashore. To decide for yourself which of the resorts in Vietnam you like best, study the reviews of Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, and you will certainly find what you like. In southern Vietnam, you can go on vacation all year round, the tourist season here never ends. From November to April, the so-called “high season” lasts in Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, and during the Vietnamese New Year (in February), all hotels and beaches are crowded with Vietnamese themselves.

Weather Phan Thiet now

The capital of Binh Thuan Province, Phan Thiet, is a small (just over 200,000 people), but prosperous Vietnamese city and a good place for tourists. It is located 200 km from Ho Chi Minh City. From Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet can be reached by bus or train, but there is no airport in the city. And it's very, very annoying. In principle, for the Russian ear, the name of the city is a little familiar. But, oddly enough, almost 80% of our travel agencies do not send tourists to this city (perhaps because of the remoteness from the airport and the unwillingness of additional problems with the transfer). Nevertheless, this direction is more familiar to us from the beach area of Mui Ne (which is a 15-minute drive from the center of Phan Thiet and which is part of the city), where Russian-Ukrainian fellow tourists are under 80%, and some shops and restaurants are located at all. in the hands of our fellow citizens. And in general, Mui Ne is called the "Russian village", and you will be convinced of this as soon as you set foot on this land. Read completely

HOLIDAY PRICES:

The cost of rest in Phan Thiet. November 2017.

tour cost

Traveled on a burning ticket from Anex Tour for $433 for two people. The tour was for 9 days with a departure from Moscow and an arrival in the city of Nha Trang. In fact, it took two days on the road and a full seven days of rest on the seashore. Transfer to and from the hotel is included in the price of the tour. Our hotel was in the south of Vietnam, which is almost 3 hours by bus one way.

Price for sightseeing tour was 10 dollars. We abandoned it and walked on our own. The entrance to the Temple of the Whale cost 15,000 VND (40 rubles). The entrance to the Cham towers costs the same. Package tours from Anex Tour cost no less than $100. For example, a trip to Saigon would cost $ 130, to mud springs $ 120.

Food and products

IN tourist places a check can reach up to 500,000 dong for two (1350 rubles) for a large hot pot, a portion of fried shrimp and two fresh juices. Therefore, it is better to eat in those places where locals have lunch and dinner. It's cheaper, tastier and the portions are huge. There are a huge number of such cafes on every street. One huge portion of Pho Bo noodles costs 20,000 VND (50 rubles). On average, any lunch in local cafes cost us 150,000 VND for two (405 rubles). This amount included a huge portion of rice with seafood or rice soup, fried squid or shrimp, drinks. Any dish can be safely taken for two people. A small beer costs 15,000 VND for 0.3 liters. A serving of four grilled mussels is 130,000 VND (351 rubles). In the market, prices are usually rounded off for the convenience of settlements with tourists. So a whole peeled pineapple costs 15,000 VND. A drinking coconut costs the same. Delicious baguettes stuffed with banh-mi cost an average of 20,000 dong (54 rubles). There were two large supermarkets in the city, we liked COOP mart the most in terms of assortment. In the store, a two-liter bottle of water costs 4,000 dong (11 rubles). Mangoes cost, depending on the variety, from 25,000 dong per kilogram to 120,000 dong, both in the market and in the store. Ready-made pies cost from 3,000 to 5,000 dong (8-14 rubles).

Souvenirs and other goods

Olong green tea for 200 grams costs 220,000 dong (594 rubles). A pack of delicious coffee in 200 grams costs 169,000 VND (422 rubles). A magnet with a piece of silk or a bamboo mat costs 20,000 dong (54 rubles). Bought one sunglasses for 190,000 VND. An average fruit basket costs 13,000 VND (35 rubles). In Duty Free, a small bottle of 175 ml of local Rhum Chauvet rum was quite expensive - 5 euros. A silk scarf costs 17 euros, but the quality of the seams is very mediocre. Lots of jewelry, a Pandora bracelet costs from 180 euros. I advise you to take something in the area towards Mui Ne (the beaches are better there). And, of course, something on the first line with a sea view. Hotels in Vietnam are cheap. We lived in SKY STAR RESORT 3*. Great option, new hotel from one 3-storey building and 18 small bungalows on the 1st line. A very green area, making your way through which you get on the white clean beach. Bathroom with slippers) And free Wi-Fi with a good signal.

What to do at the resort?

There is nothing to see in Phan Thiet itself. On one of the days of our vacation, we nevertheless decided to rent a bike and ride around the neighborhood. We stopped on the way to Mui Ne to see the Red Creek. This is a small stream, the channel of which is limited on one side by sandy rocks of red-orange color. A kind of Martian landscape. There are several cafes upstream, so if you get tired, you can have a bite to eat there.

35 km from the city there is a unique desert - white dunes. White sand stretches for 10 km, looks very beautiful against the blue sky. You can rent a jeep and go on a safari. And another 30 km there is Mount Taku and a statue of a reclining Buddha. The giant statue, the dimensions of which symbolize the postulates of Buddhism, is the largest in Vietnam. The mountain offers a beautiful landscape of the jungle and the cable car.

wide sandy beaches This is what makes it worth going here. Free to visit, as well as beach equipment. Coconut palms are selected in some places almost to the water. Gentle slope, shallow water. The only small minus is the restless sea with waves, so the water is not very clean, but slightly muddy.

Fruit is best bought on the street in small shops. And definitely in the morning, because by lunchtime their price increases. And also the new Phan Thiet market. The market is open from 5 am to 5 pm. But the spectacle is not for the squeamish - seafood right on the ground. We advise you to buy groceries at the Coop Mart supermarket. Everything is here - food, clothes, household chemicals. On the ground floor, you can buy greens, meat products, pastries, milk, spirits and everything related to food. On the second floor, household goods, clothes, perfumes and everything related to souvenirs. And on the third floor there are various cafes and a children's Entertainment Center. And the working hours are convenient - from 8 am to 10 pm.

Meat with a side dish 4-4.5 dollars, and in establishments further from the coast - 2.5 dollars. A large portion of rice with seafood costs about $3, Pho soup costs from $2 to $3. Dinner for two will cost around $5. And you can dine with seafood for 15-17 dollars for two with alcoholic drinks.

Mui Ne is beautiful beach holiday in a fishing village surrounded by greenery. Endless beaches, the cleanest sea, kitesurfing... True, Russian cafes sober up from the idyll, but let's not talk about that. The route from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet and back was definitely experienced by every tourist who vacationed in these parts. Well, I am no exception.

By bus

From Phan Thiet to Mui Ne follow 2 buses, No. 1 and No. 9. It was 1 route that I came across every time when I went to Phan Thiet, so I know exactly its route from edge to edge. In terms of travel time, the trip will take approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on where you get in and where you get off.

As such, there is no bus station in Mui Ne, so the bus from Phan Thiet arrives at the Peace resort hotel, turns around and goes in the opposite direction. The Peace resort is located on the outskirts, but is still considered part of resort area Mui Ne:

Then the bus travels along the coast, you can sit on it near the hotels Full Moon Village, Mui Ne Village Resort, MaDam Cuc. Here, in general, there is no concept of a stop, where you stop the bus, you will sit there, but with disembarkation, things are more complicated. There is a conductor in the cabin, it is to him that you need to pester with stops and, the more often, the more reliable. Drivers and conductors do not know English, and even more so Russian. It would be appropriate to write the name of the place or hotel on a piece of paper and show it to the conductor.

I'll get back to the route. Then the bus passing by Hon Rom, Sandunes Beach Resort on Đường Xuân Thủy, turn onto Đường Nguyễn Hữu Thọ and exit onto Huỳnh Thúc Kháng. And then again along the sea through the village of Ham Tien, through numerous hotels and a golf club, the bus enters Phan Thiet. In the city, a stop near the Co.opmart shopping center is especially popular:

Almost everyone gets off here, but the route does not end there, then the bus goes to railway station Phan Thiet Railway Station:

Final stop - bus station:

Buses run every 20-30 minutes, sometimes less often, from 5:30 to 20:30.

Buying tickets

The fare is paid to the conductor in the bus.

Price

Travel from edge to edge costs 16,000 dong (0.6 euros), from the center of Mui Ne to the center of Phan Thiet - 13,000 dong (0.5 euros), within Mui Ne - 9,000 dong (0.3 euros), within the beach area - 6,000 dong (0.2 euros). But the conductors give change at their discretion and usually charge 13,000 dong for a fare, it is impossible to explain that you need to travel 1 km.

By car

You can rent a car in Vietnam only with a driver in travel agencies. But for travel to Phan Thiet it is easier to take a taxi, the main thing is to bargain.

Results

The most convenient and, one might say, the only way to get from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet is by bus. From my own experience I can say: I have never seen crowded buses. There are no other ways to get there, except by sea, but this is already negotiated with the owners of boats and boats.
