Food and products

There were two large supermarkets in the city, we liked COOP mart the most in terms of assortment. In the store, a two-liter bottle of water costs 4,000 dong (11 rubles). A magnet with a piece of silk or a bamboo mat costs 20,000 dong (54 rubles). Bought one sunglasses for 190,000 VND. An average fruit basket costs 13,000 VND (35 rubles). In Duty Free, a small bottle of 175 ml of local Rhum Chauvet rum was quite expensive - 5 euros. A silk scarf costs 17 euros, but the quality of the seams is very mediocre. Lots of jewelry, a Pandora bracelet costs from 180 euros. I advise you to take something in the area towards Mui Ne (the beaches are better there). And, of course, something on the first line with a sea view. Hotels in Vietnam are cheap. We lived in SKY STAR RESORT 3*. What to do at the resort?

There is nothing to see in Phan Thiet itself. On one of the days of our vacation, we nevertheless decided to rent a bike and ride around the neighborhood. We stopped on the way to Mui Ne to see the Red Creek. This is a small stream, the channel of which is limited on one side by sandy rocks of red-orange color. A kind of Martian landscape. There are several cafes upstream, so if you get tired, you can have a bite to eat there.

35 km from the city there is a unique desert - white dunes. White sand stretches for 10 km, looks very beautiful against the blue sky. You can rent a jeep and go on a safari. And another 30 km there is Mount Taku and a statue of a reclining Buddha. The giant statue, the dimensions of which symbolize the postulates of Buddhism, is the largest in Vietnam. The mountain offers a beautiful landscape of the jungle and the cable car.

On the ground floor, you can buy greens, meat products, pastries, milk, spirits and everything related to food. On the second floor, household goods, clothes, perfumes and everything related to souvenirs. And on the third floor there are various cafes and a children's Entertainment Center. And the working hours are convenient - from 8 am to 10 pm.

Meat with a side dish 4-4.5 dollars, and in establishments further from the coast - 2.5 dollars. A large portion of rice with seafood costs about $3, Pho soup costs from $2 to $3. Dinner for two will cost around $5. And you can dine with seafood for 15-17 dollars for two with alcoholic drinks.

Mui Ne is beautiful beach holiday in a fishing village surrounded by greenery. Endless beaches, the cleanest sea, kitesurfing... True, Russian cafes sober up from the idyll, but let's not talk about that. The route from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet and back was definitely experienced by every tourist who vacationed in these parts. Well, I am no exception.

By bus

From Phan Thiet to Mui Ne follow 2 buses, No. 1 and No. 9. It was 1 route that I came across every time when I went to Phan Thiet, so I know exactly its route from edge to edge. In terms of travel time, the trip will take approximately 40-60 minutes, depending on where you get in and where you get off.

As such, there is no bus station in Mui Ne, so the bus from Phan Thiet arrives at the Peace resort hotel, turns around and goes in the opposite direction. The Peace resort is located on the outskirts, but is still considered part of resort area Mui Ne:

Then the bus travels along the coast, you can sit on it near the hotels Full Moon Village, Mui Ne Village Resort, MaDam Cuc. Here, in general, there is no concept of a stop, where you stop the bus, you will sit there, but with disembarkation, things are more complicated. There is a conductor in the cabin, it is to him that you need to pester with stops and, the more often, the more reliable. Drivers and conductors do not know English, and even more so Russian.
